If any of you have an idea or a request on what would be a good category to add to the forums, let me know. I have found that some people like "Ham" radio's. But idea's are always welcome and maybe we can make an addition or two based on your thoughts.

I suppose you would like to keep the forums focused very specifically on geocaching and gps devises. I have noticed that people really get into talking about hiking gear, packs, water containers etc.. On the other site someone brought up the subject of hiking sticks and the thread has lasted about a year.  Just a thought because Im so into accessories.  :D

A good idea, and so it shall be! :^:
After all, most of this would interest the average Geocacher any way.

I will be doing some work in the Forums in the next several days and will be adding this, as well as reorganizing some of the other categories and forums.

I realize we have quite a bit of topics already in the works here, maybe some that could be cleaned up a bit or moved to another area. I have noticed that for some reason "ham radio" as well as communications period seem to be a hot item to many Geocachers. If others feel this would make a great addition to the website I will add it to the menu.
Anton (Geocacher located in syracuse, NY) is a ham operator and thinks this is a good idea. I would be more than happy to ask him to moderate it and see where it goes. your feedback is welcome.

Ham Radio is a natural. Ham operators were the original "techie nerds" almost a century ago, and the hobby today involves satellites, computers, geographical positioning (for aiming antennas), and searching for hidden transmitters ("Foxhunting"), as well most anything where a wireless (from DC to X-rays) signal is transmitted.  Morseman and I are Hams as well, and there are several others using Ham callsigns as user names in the Navicache user list.  Also, a lot of Hams have websites, and would probably be happy to include a link to Navicache.

OK, I did some Forums maintenance this morning.
Have added some categories to better sort the forums and have also added some new forums.

Some Topics have been moved to more appropriate categories/Forums. So, if you don't see a forum where you are used to finding it, chances are it was moved as none were deleted. Should be easy to locate as changes result in more obvious choices.

Any questions or problems, please let me know.
