|A mentally challenged man in his thirties(?), with a mental equivalent of a nine(?) year old, dug multiple deadfall traps, filled with punji sticks and/or nails along the floor of the trap, in order to catch a mugger who was preying upon bicyclists riding along the bike trail.|
Actually that is not a deadfall trap. That is more of a tiger trap, or pitfall trap. A deadfall trap is where a heavy weight is suspended, and tied to a trip device, that will cause the weight to fall upon the cacher...er, I mean prey.
In the GPS model of the universe, the shortest distance between two points is a straight line...through creeks, thorn bushes, horse piles, whatever....
