Basically its a water bag with a straw attached.  Ive been screwing around with different kinds of bottles for years and have never been satisfied. I may have finally found the answer Ive been looking for. I went with the CamelBak 70oz. Unbottle, $25.99 but there are dozens of different models. Just wondering what everyone else uses for a water containter?

Just a comment.  I work in the Orange County (FL) area in periods of high humidity and heat - often in the sun.  I use a CamelBack system and would not be without it.  Staying hydrated is very important and if you go to their website there is some interesting information.  I also use the 70 oz. black with the covered hose and it is easy to keep clean - use ONLY water - the plastic will keep the tast of anything else - like Gatorade or other drinks.  And keep it clean or you will be buying new bladders...Makes outdoors more fun - and safe.

Welcome Netdep,

As far as hydration systems go I use the safewater anywhere hydration system.  It's a 90oz bladder that's truly great.  It's been treated on the inside with a compound that makes it mold and bacteria resistant, which is great you don't have to worry about airing the bladder out like you do with the camelbacks.  Even better is that it has a detachable inline water filter, so no need to cary a seperate sweetwater or pur filter.  Just pop the filer on, fill the bladder from a stream and your readdy to go.  Like I said I don't have safewater pack for it put I just borrow my brother's camelback pack and put the bladder in that, or just put the bladder in my daypack or backpack when I'm doing backcountry trips.

It's great and I highly recomend one.

I fill a couple of empty 20oz Pepsi bottles with tap water. They are cheap, light, and I am recycling too! Yeah, I am giving up the 5 cent deposit, what kind of containers can I get at the local mountaineering store for 5 cents?

I found this source of water for our water bottles. I'm even thinking of buying a franchise.

That is very funny!!!! I'd be hesitant to order the free sample (just to find what I would get), for fear that I would end up on yet more spam lists.
