Well, it was good advice, but only up to a point. I now have an updated version of MapSource, so I can load some files that I'd not been able to in the past.
I've also confirmed that the firmware in my GPSIII+ is the latest one anyway.
However, the Buffer Overrun problem still continues.
It seems to happen with both the Track uploads from the GPSr and the map downloads to the GPSr.
I'm wondering if it's because I use a switch to select either the GPSr or the telephone modem? I wonder if this might cause problems, anyone had experience of putting a switch in the line between PC and GPSr? I'll do a test or two and see what happens...
