Seems that Ritz photo has started a little contest, with some great prizes just in time for evryone who was wondering what to do now that all the caches in your area are buried in the snow (Unless you live in the sunny south that is :grinnin ).
Looks like a great oportunity for those that like virtuals, and a chance to win some nice prizes too!

Any way, you can find out all about it by clicking here.

Unless I'm looking them up wrong, they picked an interesting part of NY state. No where near NYC or western NY.

Best I can make out, they're up near lake placid.

A bit too far to drive with the weather we've been having but maybe when the January thaw comes....

Wow, I'm in! We've been looking for an excuse to go to St. Louis (Coords for Missouri) anyway.. plus maybe we can hit a few in the neighboring states! :D

+ added later +
Hm, I see they don't have waypoints for Iowa, Nebraska, Arkansas, Kansas, or Oklahoma! Guess those people might be out of luck!

My understanding is that like Magellan when they had their contest this past summer, Ritz is letting the coordinates out in batches rather than just dump them all out there at once. I suppose to prolong the length of the contest and keep folks coming back to their stores and site.

Me I want the Minolta A1 but nothing in S.E. Virginia. I might have to do some traveling for this one.

Of course the Minolta A! is the "better" camera, but I'm not gonna be greedy! The Z1 is an awesome camera too!

Besides, I decided I'm winning the Powerball tonight so all this is a moot point!
