Game 9 dashpoints are available for study. Go to the home page ( http://Geodashing.org ), scroll to the bottom and click on the link for Game 9. Remember, these dashpoints are posted early for planning purposes only. None should be visited before the start of Game 9 on March 1, 2002.

And I thought the locations of the dashpoints in our area in game 8 were bad. ???

Nah, the game nine dashpoints are MUCH better than the ones for game eight. There was just nothing near my area in February. It looks like there's going to be some fun hunts in March.  :grinnin

Also fewer in the Chennai, India area than last month.  MapQuest really sux for here, but I've given approximations to Ragu, the guy who arranges my driver & we'll see what March brings.  I brought an extra GPSr with me & Ragu seems interested enough to take me to the "46 Rupee Store".

Thanks. I was starting to wonder how the same algorithm for generating dashpoints, used game after game, could make the situation worse in all areas of the globe simultaneously.

Scout... I just wanted to point out that you are doing a great job and have made many people very happy with the sport you have created. It is never said enough but Thanks for what you provide. You do this for the fun and thats what makes it great. I realize i haven't been out as much as I should be but I am still playing "catch up" I hope to get more and more as the weather gets warmer.

I'll agree with that as weell. For game 9 there's one just 2.16 miles from where I live. :D

I'm still contemplating a drive to Wetherby and possibly onto the Yorkshire Dales to log two drivebys before the end of today to finish game 8.

All depends on how Dad is, when he gets home and if Mum wants me to visit, or wait until he's settled down a bit after the dissapointments today!

If I do go geodashing, I'm in two minds whether to dedicate the points gained to Dads recovery, or Spike Milligan who was one of Dads (and my) favourite comedians...

In case anyone is wondering, Spike died two days ago, he wrote many comic shows such as the Goons (radio) and the "Q" series on TV.  He was the inspiration to groups such as Monty Pythons Flying Circus and many others.

Kinda like a 3rd-eye-con, isn't it?  I've learned it's not a "dot" on the forehead, it's a "bindi".  Anyways, I digress...

Myself & co-worker Ragu are heading out Saturday about 45km towards Changalpattu, India.  We have squat for maps & hope this dash isn't on private property.  If anyone has mapping software better than what's on the web, please contact me.  The ONLY road I can find is the main, National Highway 45.

Other good news: I found plasticware, small torchlights, notepads & pens today...putting together some NaviCaches.

GD9-23295 has been scored in Chengalpattu, India for Buxley's NaviCachers.  Posting/email at YahooGroups.com is not co-operating.  I'll find out tomorrow if I have to email it again.

It was a 34C/93F day that took us to the boonies of India & past water buffaloes, cow, goats, egrets, killdeers, etc.  The next nearest DashPoint is 160km. away & an unlikely gamble as maps are next to nil.

I'll post pix when GeoDashing.org functions return.

Congratulations on scoring the game's first dashpoint in India.

Yahoo! Groups is down for scheduled maintenance today. They expect to be back up Sunday, but it may take a while to clear the email queue.
