Just in case anyone here hasn't heard of Scouts new game "Minute War"  www.minutewar.org

It's capture the flag using the minutes found after the Lat/Lon coordinates. The Lat/Lon themselves are tossed out
leaving a 60x60 grid that represents every spot on earth.

You only get one move per day per player so some stratagy is in order.

Four teams battle over the squares on this grid, each representing roughly a mile. (Who said metric was better?)

You "capture" an empty square by getting within 100 meters (328ft) of the waypoint.  If a square is next to an enemy team's flag, it's in their buffer and will require you to posses or capture an empty square first. Working your way towards their flag, one move at a time.

The flag itself must be captured by getting within 10 meters. Impossible in some places but easy in others. This becomes part of the stratagy.

Everytime you capture a square or flag, you must reposition the flag to a different spot that's at least 100 meters from the previous position.

A flag hidden deep in a cave on a steep mountain top might also exist on someone's back porch. Investing your time wisely is key.

More than anything, it's an excuse to get outside and hunt with your GPS.

Have I forgotten anything?

Had a great time in game one & am looking forward to game 2. The only problem is it forces something to go on the back burner temporarily. In my case, it's dashing. The time element is such that caching, dashing & minute warring is too much. I really like the teamwork part of Minute War. And at the end, it's great to see the flag of the "Northern Horde" flying high showing the team as champions. :grinnin

We'll get Game 2 going soon. We'll change the settings to allow players to decide for themselves just how active they'll be, without having a negative impact on their teams. In other words, teams with part time players will be allowed to have more players. The total number of flag captures for each team will be the same, so the competition will still be balanced. So, whether you want to get out everyday or only a couple times a week, there ought to be room for everyone. That's the theory anyway.
