Results: Geodashing Game 125 (GDAZ)

"After going through the Soap Creek wildlife area and seeing many deer
and scaring several away from the car, we managed to reach the
dashpoint before total darkness set in. The point is in the strip
between the road and the railroad tracks. To the north of the road is
a harvested cornfield. We saw Amish farms on the way here, with one
farm having huge draft horses and several dozen goats. We also saw
lots of  black carriages in the farm yards and even one small covered
carriage traversing the gravel road. This is the last dashpoint of the
day. Now on to home in a few more hours. Thanks for getting us out and
making this a fun and special vacation."

Game 125 (GDAZ) of Geodashing was won by team "Llama League" by a huge
margin, their second big win in a row. Honorable mentions go to teams
"GeoTerriers," "En Dash!" and "FinEst Dashers."

Individual honors go to Douq Millar, who scored more individual points
(47) than any entire team other than his own. Honorable mentions go to
two other American Midwest Geodashing players, deodasher and RogBarn.

The game saw 82 dashpoint hunts in seven countries (Australia, the US,
Finland, Estonia, Hungary, the UK, and Germany).

down a rough up-and-down 2-track then a half mile hike on cool, cloudy

east in Ohio

west of Mojave, California, in an area full of fairly-new wind-powered

along a rural road in Hungary, with large, flat, harvested fields and
a couple of farm houses further north up the road

in Arizona, in flat, sandy, scrub desert, directly opposite a cotton
field that has recently been harvested

in a harvested soybean field in Nebraska near an abandoned WWII
munitions plant

in Missouri, at the back edge of a small harvested field near a small
creek with several trees growing along it ("One of the trees had what
looked like large florescent green tennis balls hanging from its

in Estonia's Kaugatoma-Lõu landscape protection reserve ("I'm not
quite sure, what's so special in this place that it needs to be
protected, but anyway, it's surrounded by a fence and that's how the
area is called.")

easily accessible in fairly open dry forest near Moliagul, Australia
("gold fossicking history but there wasn't much evidence here")

in Victoria, Australia, on the playing fields, green from recent heavy
rains, of St Pauls College

in Victoria, Australia, on the lawn tennis court of an attractive
estate hugging the curved boundaries of Rosebud Country Club golf

in Melbourne's busy Springvale Rd, near Century City Walk, home to a
Novotel Hotel, Village Cinemas, The Pancake Parlour, a bowling Alley
and several cafes

in the UK, on the edge of a henge known as 'King Arthur's Round
Table,' and not far from the Llama Karma Kafe ("it has real life
llamas in the paddock that you can watch whilst you have a coffee and
a sandwich.")

and on ice plant-covered land on the northernmost part of California's
Monterey Peninsula, with the Pacific Ocean and the Point Pinos
Lighthouse visible from the parking area
