|Don't log a "find" online...I leave "notes" instead, that way my numbers don't get tracked and I am not forced into the "numbers game". Before, I didn't log anything online at all, but recently have been leaving these "notes", so the cache owners still have a record of my visit and the story of my search for their cache.|
For the one's you didn't log with a note how did you manage to keep track of which caches you had done? I'm assuming you've done a fair number of caches. I know, I've found myself going back once (ok - twice) to an already found but unlogged cache. Serious deja vu.
I have a WORD document to record them. Using an endless chart, I type in the date, cache name, waypoint # and what state it was in. With one click of a button, I can arrange all the finds by date or alphabetical, allowing me to whip down the list to see if I have found it before...
A new cache just listed? Get outta my way!
