Hi guys and gals and Happy Holidays!!

Insp Gadget here. I have been Geocaching for some time now and just wanted to see how this site was going. It doesn't list any caches in my area though.  :(

Happy Hollidays to you, Inspector!
As far as the cache saturation thing, give it time, it will increase. If you have any caches on the other site, list 'em here and help out the cause!  :)

Well I have about 140 listed on the "other" site. (Notice how I never said the "G" word?) Maybe I will start listing them here as well.

I looked through this site and there doesn't seem to be much traffic here. Is it popular with any specific group or for any particular reason?

Three years ago, it was common for people to say there weren't any caches near their homes. The obvious solution was for those people to hide some. Today, it's common for geocachers to look at Navicache's listings and say there aren't any caches near their homes. To me at least, the answer is still the same: please hide some (or easier still, just cross list some caches already listed on other sites).

P.S. Welcome, Insp Gadget. Navicache is probably more popular among geocachers in NY state than anywhere else. Take a look at the stats site to get a quick summary of where Navicache activity is strongest.

First and foremost let me say Welcome to Navicache  :thumbs-up

Now with that said, Scout (like many of us) has said it now and said it before, everyone says no caches in my area listed here, but then they don't list theirs either. Hmmm, I see a relationship between the two.

I am here for obvious reasons  :grinnin though at one time I actually maintained my caches on Geocaching.com as well Yes we do not censor and you can use the 'G' word here). After many forum posts being removed and edited logs in my cache pages simply because they contained the word Navicache, I retired my cache listings there. I am waiting to see if the sudden failure to remove these posts is lack of knowledge on how to use there new forum software or a change of attitude towards a more open geocaching community.
