In Feb of 2010 My "Ghosts Domain" cache listed at http://www.navicache.com/cgi-bin/db/displaycache2.pl?CacheID=25

will be 9 years old (on this site) and STILL to this day is in its original container and has never been lost, stolen or removed in the entire time.

I placed this cache roughly 9 1/2 years ago when there was a total of I think 13 worldwide. The others however have been damaged and removed, then later replaced. But this one is still the one and only.

Great job Quinn for your "Ghosts Domain" Cache

I think the oldest cache we have done is probably  the "The Spot" .

I'll have to look it up again sometime.

Very impressive.  I've added it to my spy list and will need to hunt it if I ever have the excuse to make it to Rochester.

I don't know when they close the gates of the park for the season, but if you go during the warmer months, it's almost a park-n-grab. Me of course, I had to walk like a mile for it.  :D

Just a good hiding spot that will probably never be discovered by muggles. The way it should be.

None of these caches are listed on that "other" Geocaching website, although they were at until about 2003, if I'm not mistaken.

We also found Dudes on the  loose! that day in the same park.

I have no idea why we didn't look for Ghost's Revenge that day.

I will investigate this original container thing, Quinn might be on to something. The oldest active cache, Mingo, in Kansas has definitely been replaced. The two closest 2000 placements to Quinn's, "The Spot" near Canandaigua, N.Y., and "State Gamelands #109" near Erie, Pa. have also been replaced in the past.

"The Spot' was a fun cache. I made the trip for that one many years ago. I was the first to log it on the computer but noticed I was the second to do so in the cache logbook.
I went in the snow and made for a tough hunt not to mention it was getting dark.

Another cache that was fun but i think retired was called "Graveyard Grumble" located in Mount Hope Cemetery here in Rochester, NY.

Took well over 6 hours to do because there was so many points to visit to calculate the next coordinate.  :grinnin
