Has anyone gotten the following error when attempting to read a message on the Yahoo M330 Group:

>>>Oops...
Your browser is not accepting our cookies. To view this page, please set your browser preferences to accept cookies (code 5). <<<

I'm not a member of the group (wasn't required in order to post) so I'm wondering if that's the problem.  I can read messages in other groups that I am a member of.  I was able to read (and enter) M330 messages up until yesterday.

Any non-members willing to try to read a message there and leave feedback on the results?

Thanks...

The BEST one they had there [no airplanes %-( ].  I spent another hour with Google looking for a nice animated airplane, with no success, so, just for S&G, I thought I'd try this one, wondering how long it would take you to notice.

One hour and eight minutes from India ain't bad!

So, did you get the same error message I did from M330?

Something must be going on over at Yahoo...

Yesterday, for most of the day, I could "see" the M330 message list, but couldn't read any messages.  I'd get the error I mentioned in the first message of this thread.

By the late evening, it appeared that everything had cleared up and was working normally again.

Now, today I'm getting a new error:

Oops...

The list m330 is temporarily unavailable

Yesterday, I thought the problem might have been unique to me, since Yahoo published a new Security Policy recently and I wasn't a member of the m330 group.  Today I believe that it's just technical problems over at Yahoo Central.

Just thought I'd let other folks know.

Dear TakeTheAvatar,

I did one search on MSN & choose the first result :0o

The Indian Air Force is currently lining up on you...

This avatar "hornet" is available as a choice here on navicache should you like to use it. Just make the selection in your profile.

WOO HOO! This is my lucky day!!!

First I find there's a 330X for sale where there wasn't one yesterday; THEN, you find me a great looking airplane animated avatar!  Next, I'll probably have a heart attack from all the excitement!!!

OK.  What search string do I key into what website(s) to see the ones you turned down?

A BIG THANK YOU YARDBOY!!!

PC Medic:

Thanks to you too for making it a "local" choice.  As YardBoy explained to me a few days ago, if the link he's using goes down, Bye-Bye Compass.  So, two things now come to mind:

- why don't you make the Compass "local" to give YardBoy the same convenience (and security) you gave me?

- how would I d/l a copy of the Hornet to use on other forums that allow avatars?

THANKS AGAIN to both of you...

Who?  Me?  TakeWhatAvatar???

The NJ Air Force is doing loops of joy...

And will be leaving Indian airspace shortly...

Be advised that the troops have been practicing...

And, BTW, did you ever realize that to get your compass to spin like that you would have to...

...which would probably result in...

[Some might compare this overindulgence to the Morse Code frenzy taking place around the corner!!!

On the MSN SearchEngine, I typed "animated gif airplane" and looked at the first website of the resulting list.

Thanks for the server space on NaviCache.com for my avatar, but last week when I explained vunerability to TakeTheAvatar, I did another WebSearch on free server space.  I found 20MB on xoing.com & need not tax what NaviCache.com is paying for out of their pockets.  This server space will work out a dual purpose for me: when I place India's first NaviCache this weekend, I expect to have more than 150KB of pix.  I'll post the additional on my BLOG.

I ran a RCP/M BBS in my basement for many years in the mid 80's.  It ran on a kit-built Zilog Z-80 CPU with 64K of RAM, 2 Quantum 40Meg 8" HDs (at it's peak), a Hayes 2400 baud SmartModem, and everything was written in assembly language (which I worked on/modified/improved daily).  I'm not familiar with how these modern BBSs run - whether they're in someone's home, or everything is "rented" from a service provider, or both.  On that note, if storing the Hornet avatar here (and leaving a silly message full of animated avatars) is consuming disk space that NaviCache.com must pay extra for out of their pockets, by all means, please delete all that junk immediately and I will learn how to use a free server such as the xoing.com that you suggested.  Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Only misunderstanding is that there's a misunderstanding.

The silly junk is part of the fun & text takes little server space.  I was only referring to my personal compass avatar.  I don't expect NaviCache to host it (or my pix in excess of the 150KB provided for a cache posting).  If my beefy pix are sourced to a URL off NaviCache.com, then they're not costing NaviCache any server storage.
