Why are the posted coordinates different from the ones on mapquest? The ones posted on the website are wrong and the coordinates on mapquest are right. Why the difference?

I see 'different' datum, but not wrong coordinates. Perhaps you could provide an example (link to a particular cache page) where you are seeing this.

Here is an example. If you take a look at Cacher's Cache Can located in henrietta, New York, the coordinates are N43.02251  W07734260, which I believe to be wrong. Now if you click on the mapquest link provided, it gives the right coordinates of N43.03751  W77.571. If you could explain why they are different it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Both are actually correct and will take you to the same location (give or take a meter). It is simply a case of different Datum/coordinate systems being used.

We are using ddd.mm.sss where MapQuest is using Decimal Degrees.
See THIS SITE for a brief explaination.

1 out of 6 is pretty good considering.  I remember my first time, we accidently moved the coords for a cache we were looking for in the snow when our GPSr was in map mode.  We bumped the toggle, which set the destination a couple hundred feet off.  We searched on the side of a highway in the dark, in utter disbelief someone could or would hide something there.  The next day we redownloaded the coords and found the cache right away.  Whoops!
