The truth is, anyone who reads and understands the RFC's for http and html can already do so.
I wrote a utility in Aug 2001 which could bulk download cache info.
This utility converts the data into a format usable by GPSS, a free mapping program, and can download the waypoints to a Garmin eTrex or Magellan, in one of three naming conventions.
as well as publishing the format and interfaces needed to do it.
By the way, I'm kind of out of date here. Does NaviCache support downloads of multiple caches at all? Can I do a Zip Code search and download all the caches within, say, 100 miles?
The development plan has existed since late Dec 2001/early Jan 2002... hopefully, you have noticed some of the changes.
Announcements are made *after* implementation... but sometimes hints are given, so watch the forums!
A 1/1 via the trail around the hill?
Nah... that's too easy! Let's go up and over!
Why follow a trail when we can blaze our own?
We *make* mountains out of mole hills!
