Totally new to GPS and Geo Caching. Magellan's site touts these as the latest GPS for the outdoors person.  Ebay seems to have an abundant selection of a couple of these models (100 and 200).

Any feed back from using this particular device? ???

Don't have one, have not even seen one yet. However, I already have a not so good opinion of the series. It seems (this is what i've read and heard) they do not have any way to interface with your pc (no cable connection point). So you would have to enter all waypoints by hand, annoying but if you don't cache much maybe not a problem.
I've also heard that there is no way to change the map, the 'background' map is builtinto the unit. Personally if I buy a mapping gps I would like to be able change the maps. It means I have to buy for mapsource/mapsend cds but at least if its availabe I can have it.
Not 100% sure this is all true but if you look at the magellan site the linked accessories nor the included one have memory card or PC cable listed!

Maybe they're sturdy built or get super reception???, But I'd probably stay away from them.

Still waiting for ours to arrive and will post more thoughts then.

I do agree that a PC interface would have been nice. For geocaching use the ability to upload maps and waypoints is a major plus.

I wish we could get all the new toys to test. We did just today receive an eXplorist 200 (Yellow), but have not even opened the package yet. We hope to get a review together soon.

OK, but did Magellan send the unit to you? or one of the many retailers? Or did somebody just want a new toy??

Thanks for the update,  I'm holding off until I hear PC Medic's review.  I think I would at least want to be able to load maps on the device.   :thumbs-up
