Ebay is down for maintenance, any chance of a clue what you are all talking about please?
Posted by Gimpy on Mar. 15 2002,2:24 amHey, Morseman. Some guy on e-bay has/had a bid up to something like $160.00 for a basic yellow eTrex. I think you can usually get them when on sale for somewhere around $99.00.
Posted by Quinn on Mar. 15 2002,5:27 amGimpy has so many GPSR's that you can blindfold him and just let him scratch the surface of one...he can tell you where it was made, when it was made, the date it was made, and what the guy that made it had for dinner that night!
Posted by Gimpy on Mar. 15 2002,10:56 amAnd to think I sold my Vista for $250.00. I could have put it on e-bay for $500.00.
Posted by dgridley on Mar. 15 2002,1:33 pmHe'll be lucky if he gets paid.. I don't know if you guys know anything about the feedback system on eBay but the seller of this item and all the bidders (except 1) have 0 feedback ratings.. most people won't sell to you unless you have at least 10 positive feebacks and no negatives.
Posted by dgridley on Mar. 15 2002,1:37 pmSame seller also has a pair of COSTA DEL MAR POLARIZED SUNGLASSES up for bids tho he's apparently taken the picture from somewhere other than his actual pair.. they're presntly at $66. which would be a good buy at that price (provided they really exist)... normally they might go for $179. retail.
Posted by Gimpy on Mar. 15 2002,1:43 pmThat's pretty strange. If they don't want to sell to you till you get positive feedback, how are you supposed to get feedback? Anyway, 2 weeks ago I made 3 purchases on e-bay from 3 different sellers, all on the same day, with no problem. Never purchased anything on there before. I'll have to check & see if I've got feedback. All 3 items I got for great prices with excellent delivery. 128 mb. compact flash card for my camera for $39.00. Works great.
Posted by barrington on Mar. 15 2002,2:27 pmI sell quite a bit on eBay, get about one in thirty that are no-pays. Since 9/11, I've been accepting PayPal only (suddenly didn't want to be getting mail from strangers) and have had no no-pays since.
Back on topic, I hit that closeout with the rebates on the MAP 330X at Staples a while back, then sold my Mag 315 on eBay for within $20 of what I paid for the MAP 330X (gloat). The buyer was happy, I was VERY happy.....except for having to pay the sales tax on the full price.
Posted by PC Medic on Mar. 15 2002,5:11 pmHey Barrington!
You buy that 330X after February 30th?
If you did are you aware of the $50 rebate from Magellan?
That would make it an even better deal!!
More info and rebate slips here < Magellan Rebates > for the 330X and others.
