Posted by YardBoy on Sep. 22 2002,12:12 pmHouston...we have two sightings in India, the sub continent's first NaviCaches
Why not put Australia (with zero Forum postings) & New Zealand (one) together as a single Forum?
Posted by welch on Sep. 22 2002,2:08 pmaustraila has no NaviCaches?
Posted by YardBoy on Oct. 12 2002,7:58 amGreetings from Bangalore, India where I'm about to hide India's 3rd NaviCache.
I'm spreading the NaviCache word in India's Silicon Valley about 400km NW of my homebase in Chennai, India

I've been to Bangalore. I can't imagine any cache staying hidden long anywhere in Bangalore. But hide the cache somewhere along Mahatma Gandhi Road and maybe I'll get a chance to hunt it sometime.
P.S. Why do we have to have this thread in the Australian forum?

I can't imagine many NaviCaches having great success in ANY part of India:
1. who has a GPSr?
2. if accidently found, who would be able to read the english NaviRules about swapping a gift?
I stayed at the Central Park hotel off MG Rd. & hid the plastic box across the street at 7AM when there were fewer street-people to watch "the Anglo with the strange device". It's on top of an estate wall under some flowering vines at a height eliminating diminutive vandals.
Poor India has no Forum, boo hoo, so I used the "empty" Aussie space.
Posted by YardBoy on Nov. 07 2002,4:50 amIndia's 4th NaviCache has been hidden near Lonavala, between Mumbai (Bombay) and Pune (Poona). This area is known as a "hill station" for its relaxing retreats (on Bhushi Lake). Above the lake is a dam & above that is the aforementioned NaviCache.
I hid it during a visit to Pune for the festival of Diwali, Festival of Lights. I've never seen more fireworks other than for that time RoadKill ran into a female fox at Mendon Ponds
Posted by YardBoy on Jan. 06 2003,4:06 pmOMG, a new NaviCacher named Kalyan, ID 1410, has posted that he's looking for the Bangalore, India, NaviCache this weekend. There is life in India (and someone else with a GPSr). I wish he had configured his email addy

He's more likely to find the navicache than this post about it in the Australia forums. ;-)
I hope he finds Geodashing, too. We could use a few more reports of dashpoint hunts in India.

1) Quinn, as they say in India: "Do the needful". My PayPal baksheesh is forthcoming.
2) Ouch, babe. I'm trying to buy a Royal Enfield Bullet to get about.
Posted by PC Medic on Jan. 07 2003,3:34 pmOK, India now has its own Forum!
And this topis has been moved out of "Australia", to its new home.

Hooray! Thanks. Now if we could only get a few Indians posting here instead of just YardBoy and me!

Yes indeed Yardboy...thank you for the plug!
Have niot heard from you or seen you about recently and was wondering where you had been hiding
Posted by YardBoy on June 16 2006,12:56 pmLOL... I'm alive and reasonably well. This year, I've been floating between Rochester, Chennai (India) and Sault Ste Marie (Ontario). I've recently hid NaviCaches in Tampa and Toronto. I still don't cross-list between NC and GC, so cache contents remain accurate.
I was just in the Where$George Forum encouraging a Georger to give the GC habit a rest and check out a few NC. That reminded me to check this Forum to see if there was a Summer Picnic or Event. Deadbeats
