Is there a way to read NMEA sentences, from my Map330, directly on my Palm M100 without using a PC?
Is there a program similar to Hyperterminal for the PDA ?

There are a number of terminal programs for Palm - I use one called Online.  You can download trial versions for most of them at www.palmgear.com (a few may be free).

The serial cable is easiest to rig using an existing serial cradle.  Basically cradle->null modem adapter->GPS cable->gps.  If you only have a USB cradle, you will need to either buy a serial cable for your PDA or a connector.  The forums at www.palmos.com are a good place to find cable/connector suppliers.
