Posted by Volvo Man on Nov. 22 2003,5:04 pmquick question to Meridian Platinum users our there, what color is the backlight?
Magellan's site makes it look like it has a white backlight, but they do this with the gold too, which has a green backlight.

I agree...It is a greenish color.
But after a few beers on the weekends it also looks red and pink at times.
Posted by Volvo Man on Nov. 24 2003,4:38 pmOh dear, I was really hoping it would be white, like the backlight on my Sony Clie, it make the screen so easy to read, even in bright sunlight. I guess I'll have to wait until they put the 3D compass and other Platinum features into the Meridian Color.
Also, has anyone noticed uneven coloration on the meridians when the backlight is on? My Gold has a patch of darker green down one side. Whilst it doesn't change the usability, it does keep catching your eye.

Posted by Volvo Man on Nov. 25 2003,12:34 amI Know, but the color doesn't have the 3D compass and other Platinum Features yet, or does it?
