Is there a way to enter a waypoint with a meriplat if all you have is "restaurant located at N. 35 39 150 and W. 97 27 988"?  Do you have to try and find that location on the map screen then hit goto?

This works with my MeriGold, I assume the Plat works the same: Press and hold "GOTO" for a couple seconds to create a waypoint at your present location, then use the up arrow to select the lat/long location panel, press enter to go into edit mode, use the arrows to enter desired data, then select "SAVE", hit enter and you've got it. :)

Yeah...the instruction booklet could use some touch ups so that people can better undertand how to use the things. I think one of my biggest pet peaves is that Magellan has changed the button icons on the sportrak series so that if you own any other Magellan you need to re-learn the new icons to understand what each button does.

But I am glad you are all set now and got things working good. :)
