I need to replace the Garmin to PC lead, which I've lost (long story) but the local Maplins only has a GPSII to PC lead.

My question is, is the data output different on a II to a III+, or will it work OK?

Logic tells me that it will probably work OK, but when did logic appeal to manufacturers of high tech gear?  ;)

Hmmm...this is a good question and I feel the same as you. It should not be any different but then again I have seen stranger things. Iwill contact Kim from  < Advanced gps > and see what she has as far as order numbers, if they are the same it will work.

Thanks for doing that for me, Quinn,

In the longer term, I'm considering contacting a pFrank to get some of the Garmin 4 pin plugs and making my own leads.  Got to be more cost effective than buying them new.

Cheers.

Dear Morseman,

Garmin GPS II and III+ data cables are identical, using the same pin out.  We have those cables for $7.45 in our Yahoo store.

Thanks !
