Hi. I made a free smartphone app that will fit right in with the Geocaching community. The app is called Georeader. áRight now it is on Android (Search under Georeader in the Android Market) and soon áit will be on the iphone. The app allows you to place a message anywhere in the world. When an users enters near that area, the message is spoken aloud by the phone by using the phone's text to speech function. I always liked local history and got continually frustrated by my inability to read those little historical markers when I drove by them so I made this app and have included one of the largest collection of historical markers in the USA and their texts to listen to when you pass by. I also designed it to be hands and eyes free so it would be safe for travel. You can place messages on location through the app or through the website at Please check it out and let me know if you have any questions. I hope you get a kick out of it. Dave
