Posted by Omega on April 10 2008,8:45 amI am planning on placing some Navi only cache listings and wanted a Navicache label for the container. I usually make my own logs and labels for my caches and try and "brand" them for the intended target audience. On Gc.com they only allow the square logo to be used (Signal the frog is way off limits) for up to 25 non-commercial items. I seen the Navi compass somewhere and was wondering if we can use that (what is the default logo?) for our container labels. If that is allowed, is there a hi-res copy of it somewhere, I like to use the sharpest version possible because the laser printer will pick up everything.
Posted by USA 45 on April 10 2008,11:03 amO-Mega, I went to getting started and then to the post cache state note's I think any way PM Medic has a link to a stach note. I just copied the picture and and the stach note. printed it out and resized it. Maybe that will help. Only thing is I have to find the full sheets of stickie paper. USA 45

I was actually thinking of the label you place on the container. Something like this:
(If it breaks the rules I will delete)
But I had seen a better pic of the logo, this one comes out a little fuzzy and would prefer a camo (B/W) version. I think the compass only one may look better, but can't remember where I seen it. And I really want to know what the permitted use is for these logos, I learned my lesson at GC . As far as the stash note goes, I will do up a business card size one to make it easier to print out on avery cardstock. I can post them here when finished if permitted.
P.S. Avery makes good weather mailing labels that fit the bill. Office Depot sometimes stocks them, or you can order online. I use these: < Avery Labels 2 per page >
and < Avery Labels 6 per page >. The laser printer does a great job on these. Office Depot can print the color (green) in case you don't have access to a color laser.
Posted by USA 45 on April 10 2008,8:57 pmI know I have been all over this site and I should write down things and where they are. The was an avatar that had the compass only ,but that was under his name. It's got to be in one of the places I have posted. For some reason in here my browser does not show that I was in that forum post , usually it turns a different color when I go to the next one. But for some reason it don't. I will pick up some of Avery Labels 2 per page . I only have Staples around here. I really like that one, I'm going to order 5 of them. If PC Medic does not post to yours , email him I just did about a few things. USA 45

They are a bit pricey, but they do hold up well. Staples should do the same thing Office Depot does, ask if they carry them or if they will order them. Shipping will be alot if you order direct.
The logo I am looking for had the globe in the center and the website across the globe. The avatar would be too small, it would not reproduce well. One of the admins probably knows who made the logo and may even be able to help with a high res version. A .PSD pr .AI version would be ideal.
For now I will use the Gx to the left so I can get a couple of Navicaches out there.

Is this the one you are referring to ?
I hope all of the Admins would know where it originated Especially MOCache as he created it.
The sticker you show is very similar to the one < we sell HERE > which actually does use a B/W version of the logo. Makes it a little easier to hide without all the bright colors
Posted by Omega on April 15 2008,7:21 pmYup, that is the one I seen somewhere. I seen the ones you link to, but I seldom need any that size (though I have made them that big) so I make them small enough for 35mm micros (2.5" wide) and even some that are small enough for the evil size ones (1/2" or so). I use some weatherproof laser labels to print on and walla, labels. Anytime I run across a container that could use one I add it (I make sure it doesn't clash with camo). As for the logs, I use color on those (on green rite in the rain paper) because they are usually inside something.
Posted by Strangeman on June 25 2008,8:20 pmI played around with it in photoshop but didn't have the time to spend to do a proper B/W of it. Removing the color only makes it unreadable so the entire logo would need to be redone and I just don't have the time or know how
Posted by mother wolf on June 27 2008,6:51 pmThats a cool logo Brian. Can we put it on our cache pages? MW
