Greetings Navicachers,

I wish I had visited here prior to signing up at geocaching.com as I have learned about them the hard way. I may never cache again as a result of my dealings with them.

First, I do not wish to offend anyone here but I am posting to inquire if there are others who would be interested in joining a Class Action Lawsuit against geocaching.com for their various abusive conduct towards people in general.

I did offer to settle this issue out of court if those responsible were severely reprimanded but since they think I am kidding about this.....

I have narrowed my search of attorneys in the Seattle area to Paul Luvera, a key attorney in several of the battles against Big Tobacco and skilled at both civil and class action suits.

It is unfortunate that it had to come to something like this, but these people need to understand that they simply cannot abuse people in such a manner and expect that consequences will never arise. They were seriously mistaken this time.

Regards,
T.I.

I am not sure what exactly happened and am hoping this is not the beginnings of another 'why I do not like geocaching.com' thread. There are certainly enough of those already and if you wish to share your own personal experiences with them, that would probably be the best place to post.

As far as the 'I may never cache again', I never understood this reaction  ??? I mean if I go to a store and do not like the way I am treated I may simply shop elsewhere, but I certainly would not give up eating. Giving up geocaching would not prove any point or probably even phase those you have been offended by.
There are too many sites offering geocaching services and information to let any one particular site ruin your day.

So, while we are not going to take any sides here (hell!, we've had our own issues in the past) and 'Gentlemans' opinions are always welcome here, I am going to ask that it be kept to just that, opinions and conversation (within the appropriate threads).

I will indeed be a gentleman.

What happened is they insinuated I was a 73rr0r157 because I disagreed with their reviewers.

I did offer to settle this out of court if those responsible were severely punished but they seem to think I am joking.

The clock is ticking on my patience however.

I had the same thing happen to me. Michael Lapaglia I believe was his name.

If I didn't respect the sport I would have called his bluff. He uses that bully mentality and it is a real turn off.

GC is a business, not a hobbiest site, thats the difference between there and here.

What may I ask, prompted such an insinuation?

I questioned the reviewer in my state.

Two identical caches, I planted the same day, same manner, same everything except location. I wanted to list them on differnt dates so the same cacher wouldn't get the ftf. You know keep it fun and fair.

First one published no question, I recieved the third degree on the second one, got refered to Michael who tounge lashed me and said he would be responsible for reviewing the cache, and after all that bs about nothing....they published the cache.

We are very vocal about the review process in the group I belong to in SC. The volunteer reviewers are from another group.....get it?

I want to make something clear from my standpoint,

Caching is many differnt things to many differnt cachers.

To me, caches are meant to be found. My caches are easy, fun, and most of all, they are safe. If you hunt one of my caches you will find it, you will be safe, if you drop me an email before you hunt them, I will give you my phone number and meet you at the cache site to make sure you are satisfied when you leave. I have done this, ask sweetOleBob.
I respect others way of caching, and all I ask is to respect my way of caching.

I may not take you on a 5 mile hike to fantasia, or tax your brain with some alien code. My goal is a smile, or at least a grin. Its too much for those %^&*$^# at GC to understand, I do this for fun, they do it for a living, and it is starting to show.

Thats the last rant you will hear from me about GC. I came here to escape this type of discussion.

My goal is to figure out how to promote Navicache in my area... :D

TITB, how you doing? You're pretty famous over there at the GC forums!!

First off, PCMedic is very careful about having any GC.com bashing threads over here, as should be evident.

I really don't think you're going to get too much support for a class action lawsuit against "Big Green". Sure, there are probably a few dozen unfortunate souls like yourself who have been mistreated in the forums over the years, and have left that website (or have been banned, of course). But the vast majority of users don't post to the forums, and are happy as a pig in mud with the website. All they care about is getting their next smiley, with as little effort as possible.

But I'd love to know how your anti-parking lot micro efforts are going. Heard from Wally World corporate HQ?  :D

Not just GC>com  ...trying to avoid ANY 'bashing' at all.
Open discussion and opinions are always welcome though.
