I have always been one that believed in placing a cache of quality, but I have been thinking about placing a tiny cvache of just "wheres george" bills. thus if found you take one and leave one. No logbook and nothing else but bills. I painted a few "altoid" cans a very nice dark green and these are perfect size for this type of cache, heck you even have room to leave a business card with maybe some notes on the back of it to show who was there. The nice part about this is that the log on the George site would be proof enough of a visit.
Now I dont want to start cluttering up our parks and area woods with this type of cache, but I was thinking for those afternoon between lunch hour cachers this would be perfect. what do you think?

Great idea,Quinn. Another nice thing about a cache of this nature is that it's small enough that it could be placed in a spot that would not be too affected by winter weather. Somewhere in the framework of a park shelter or just under the edge of a footbridge, etc. I think caches like this would help keep us cachers on the run when going after a regular size cache when there's 2 ft. of snow on the ground would be a bit too much. I like it! :p

You know I'm into this.  Can we call it "NaviGeorgeing"?

Don't forget that we have a < Forum Topic > already going where if you link the bill once, its log will be automatically updated by the WheresGeorge.com system everytime the bill is re-entered elsewhere.

YardBoy. Do you mean if we copy the wheresgeorge link for a certain bill & paste it in the wheresgeorge thread, it will update there? :wstupid:

You are correct, sir! (if only our loved ones said this more often)

Note that many of my postings in the NaviCache/WG thread are something like: "Bla bla started this bill at bla bla cache on bla bla date & it has traveled nicely to bla bla".  Then I include the Link.  The bla bla part catches their interest because 1)my creative writing juices have flooded their supple minds, 2)they are bla bla, or 3)they've been to bla bla.  Clicking on the WG Link will always show the most up-to-date Log.

Has YardBoy infiltrated Gannett Newspapers? Have you seen the front page of Tuesdays D&C. In the top center graphic in the Census article, are 3 one dollar bills. The front bill is a wheresgeorge bill.:D Havn't seen that stamp before, though. Stamp says"See Where I've Been, www.wheresgeorge" etc. That stamp sound familiar to anyone?

:( No...I didn't see that. I hpe they saved the paper at work so I can check it out. Who's stamp is that? do we know?
Pretty cool! now if we can just get them to link the two sports together!  :) By the way... I like Yardboys new avatar!

Yesterday's "D&C" George belongs to ex-co-worker Pete who arranged WG interview with reporter earlier this year.

Noticed my "Alfred" avatar was pixalated as Ikonboard expanded internal 32x32 image to 64x64.  Animated .gifs are a pain to search for, but I found the compass (60x60) & referenced it externally (where you can specify the dimensions).  Don't miss tomorrow's avatar!

Sheesh. Got all the way out to Kegs Creek, go down to the cache area, III Plus says 30 ft. from cache, but too many locals. Hunter up on the hill to the west, trailer dwellers in their back yard on the hill to the east, & all watching me wondering what I'm doing. If I get the cache & make an exchange, the cache for sure won't be there for the next guy.

Whoa!  when I placed it I had the whole place all to my self and didn't see a single person. Wonder whats up with that? That is a heck of a ways for you to travel just to get burned. Must be that the locals have off on Mondays for hunting or something though I am not certain you can hunt in that knoll like that. ???

Yep. I was talking to one of them & they're locals & hunt there often. They said, if it aint posted, we're huntin. He said the game warden had been around & didn't bother them. Doesn't seem like hunting would be allowed there. Trailers are right there. Must go back farther than I could see.Couple of dogs up at the trailers on the east rise & they wouldn't shut up. Before I knew it, 3 or 4 folks were out there watching me, so I made like I was just on a nature walk or something.
