Hi,

are the data of the logs to a cache shared between navicache and geocaching.com or do I need to log that I found the cache on both websites ?

You would need report the find on each site seperately.

For now...but those changes are a-comin'....
I dream of the day when a cacher can type in a waypoint, add their online log, and it gets added to every caching website that has that cache listed on it....

Not unless you know something we don't. While we already offer the possibilities, others do not seem interested.

Yes it would be a wonderful thing.

I think it could be acheived easily enough thru a simple RRS feed, maybe?

If it was truly simple, Opencaching would be operational by now.

I think Opencaching.com's delay's go beyond how to get data.
RSS typr feed would be one possible way, but it has it's problems as well. For one thing last I checked there were 5 different versions of RSS.

Navicache should look into the Internet Screen Saver from xemico.com .. it would allow you to post pics or html to a single directory or location and aitomatically update a user's screensaver with this info, including a list of new caches as it will also handle html.

Actually started looking at this a couple weeks ago (the office uses a similar package on the intranet), but a bit off topic for this thread.
