Posted by cachekidds on Jan. 24 2004,6:42 pmWe've just adopted "Fortress of Solitude" in Suffolk, VA
by the pairomedics. It's been done on gc.com with the old owers permission and I would like to know how we can do that here on Navicache.
Posted by Quinn on Jan. 24 2004,7:05 pmDone...I just made you that cache owner and you will now be in charge of it and it's page here.
Just contact us here and we will do it for you.:)

Thanks, Quinn! I really do appreciate it.

Posted by YardBoy on Jan. 29 2004,6:54 amFor what it's worth, I'm not going to anymore caches that are dual listed. I often plan my NaviCache hunts based on what I read on NaviCache, i.e. FTF or hitchikers. I'm tired of the disappointments when I get to the cache, eventually finding that missing parts of "history" were only published elsewhere.
Picking a random piece of famous literature as an example, imagine "Anne Frank's Diary" published as two separate volumes. One volume might cover Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. The other: Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday. Wouldn't it have been a PITA (Pain In The Anterior) to read her story?

How do you know they are dual listed unless you are checking listings on multiple sites? And if you are doing that, then it's not much harder to just read all the logs on both sites.
For different reasons, I don't list my caches on gc.com. Mine may still be dual-listed, but it's on Navicache and GeocachingWorldwide (now dormant) or Navicache and Keyori (one cache) or Navicache and Opencaching (if they'd ever open their doors to listings). In all of these cases, if there's something hunters need to know, I'll update the listing on all sites.
