Today for the first time since Navicache has been in action, I had to ban a member as well as delete his account and lock out his e-mail and IP from being used in these forums.
The user has been warned repeatedly about listing his off road event in just about every topic we have here at navicache.

He wished to ignore this after we deleted those posts last week and he resubmitted them today in 8 sections of the forum. I once again deleted them and was forced to take the action mentioned.

We do not have any problem at all with people posting any event here as long as it has to do with geocaching or even GPS. But we can not allow people to use the forums to litter each topic with trash postings.

I have said before that we do not censor here at Navicache, but in my view this was not a means of censoring what he was trying to get across. He had no respect for our wishes and thus was removed.

I would like to elaborate here by adding, the event post should not be commercial in nature. While payment of park entry fees and such are fine, if ANY fee is required and collected directly by the organizers themselves for the purpose of profit, this is considered commercial and not appropriate.
