OK, so what can I do to make Navicache more of a success?   Are there opportunities to help out with improving the user interface / software?

Very soon I will have tampabaygeocaching.com set up so that people can download a GPX file of Navicache waypoints...I'll gladly help tweak this for use here if it can be of any use.

Just name it...I'll do what I can. :)

Thanks, infosponge, for offering to help. I hope the powers that be take you up on your offer and you both let us know what you're up to. I'm sure the community has lots of great ideas, even if they aren't all programmers who can help implement enhancements.

Why certainly ! We consider all offers and ideas.  :thumbs-up
And I would like to thank Infosponge for his offer to help. This is the kind of thing that keeps Navicache.com a true geocaching "community".

Keep an eye out in our Announcements section for the many upcoming enhancements planned here at navicache.com

That's too late. You should be openly talking about your ideas up front. The community can improve them or maybe save you from wasting your time.

These are all improvements that have been suggested by members via emails, forums, or at the gatherings. At one point or another it was already announced we would proceed with most them. The announcements I refer to are for the "go live dates" which for obvious reasons we will not post until we are sure the date is solid. Other announcements may be a "you asked for it, here it is" type as the change will be more simple to implement.

If you have new ideas you would like brought to the table, by all means submit them.

I think it would be a good idea to frequently talk about your backlog, what is currently being worked on, and what progress is being made. You might get more volunteers to help with some of it. The community understands that this is a labor of love and not a business. If anyone tries to hold you to preliminary schedules, just give 'em their premium membership fees back. ;-)
