Seems some members recently stumbled upon a feature of the forums member list where members names beginning with an upper case letter, would proceed all of those beginning with a lower case letter. This had them thinking that for some reason they were not listed as they were at the end of the data base.

I have made a small change to the script which now causes all member names to be sorted alphabetically only (not case sensitive) and preliminary tests seem to be good. :^:

So, for those of you that were sensitive to the case sensitive sort routine, fret no more, and please let me know if you find any issues with the forums.

Now, if you could eliminate case sensitivity in the user ID altogether.....

Most other sites (at least the ones I visit, including various emails, and the "other" cache site) don't care about case in the user ID, only in the password.  This would be a kindness for us forgetful types, and eliminate the (probably remote) chance of another user appearing with the same ID with only a case difference. :(

Now, about avatar poaching........  :nono

Avatar?   Heck, I thought that was a picture of yourself you were using.  :grinnin

People dont realize that when they sign up and see the list of avatars that they may be claimed by others. I'll look into this to see if there is a way to protect them from being double used without moving them from the folder they are in and linking to them.
