hi, is it possible to search a cache by waypoint?

Background: on opencaching.de its possible to enter waypoints from geocaching.com and navicache.com if the cache is listet on one of this sites.
Currently for nc.com we can't show a link to this site, because we don't know the correct url (if its available)

The syntax for gc.com is: < http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?wp=GCXXXX >
and results in the page of the cachelisting.

Is the same available on navicache.com?

regards, orotl

Hi orotl,

there is a way to search for a cache by waypoint. But you have to convert the waypoint to a number. Take as an example the Cache with waypoint < N00CE1 > if you take the last five letters as hexadecimal number, you can convert it to decimal (3297) you can search for this cache this way: < http://www.navicache.com/cgi-bin/db/displaycache2.pl?CacheID=3297 >

Greetings Millhouse.
