Time to get this superb site going
Posted by The Parkers on Mar. 25 2002,7:39 amThere are at least two of us... Although I'm not close enough to hunt your caches. I've posted 4 here so far. I know there are quite a few cachers here in Calgary as I'm sure there are in Ottawa so hopefully there will be some more posts and caches placed here soon.
Posted by 300mag on April 02 2002,1:57 pmHi there Parkers
If we could get all the cachers that live between me and you this post and forum would be plenty full

Using a Magellan 330,works great.Plaaing to use it for boating trips around lake Ontario.Great to here they have the Mapsend Canada out finally.
Posted by Quinn on May 12 2002,9:19 amwelcome to the forums Plainfieldpain good to see another new face in here from the north.
I looked up your town on my software and see you are directly across the lake from me, I live in Rochester, NY.
Are you a cacher as well or just into GPSR's and boating?
As the crow flys you are 71 miles from me... soon as the ferry is in place maybe i'll come visit you north folk!
Posted by aqualung on Aug. 15 2002,7:25 amHi All,
I'm another new Canadian Cacher! Just south of Ottawa Ontario. Not too many chaches in my area, at least on this site.
My user name means something - I like SCUBA. So, any interest out there in an underwater chache? I'll place one if I know someone might actually take up the challenge. Somewhere amongst the 1000 Islands perhaps?
Posted by dave and jaime on April 28 2003,9:44 amwell, were in the oldest and most eastery city in north amercia, and a husband wife team. dont see any caches on this site for us though...
Posted by Quinn on April 29 2003,4:42 am
Yes...Canada is a bit thin on the cache side thus far. we do hope to change this.
It is nice to see a new northern couple on the site and welcome!
Feel free to get the ball rolling in your area!

Posted by Gorak on Sep. 16 2003,5:59 pmHi,
I just registered on NaviCache and the forums. I am located in the Vancouver area. Hope to see more Vancouverites joining up and listing their caches. I'll be posting my cache here in the next day or so.

Time to bump this one...
I'm in Calgary too but there was only one cache within 200 KM of me. It got muggled before I could get to it.
Posted by KFL on Mar. 09 2010,4:40 pm
I am not from Canada, but maybe you could consider starting to fill the Calgary area on navicache by cross-posting your caches here? You probably don't get many logs here, but someone has to make a start.

Hmm, why didn't I think of that.
I will look into that, thanks.
