Because when this guy's credit card expires, this site will be gone.   ???

It's on, but no one is behind the wheel. I'll get us started, I first heard of Navicache because Mr.Mom used to stencil it on his ammo boxes. Quinn used to give the stencils away at events. By the time I joined (early 2004, and 6 months or so after I started caching), Quinn was already almost completely "retired" from the site in favor of his brother PC Medic.

I'm posting as a way to test and make sure the site is still functional. Looks that way. :D

I first found NC on the Wiki Page for Geocaching. I think I signed up here first but maybe only because I was waiting for a TC guru to accept my humble sponsorship request.

It is a tribute to the original designers and programmers that the site hasn't been hacked or crashed over the years. The forum itself (ikonboard) dates back to 2003 so it isn't much newer than the original code. Well done gentlemen.

Navicache will be remembered fondly by the few that really used it.

True it hasn't been hacked (and I remember when opencaching.us was on Rackspace, we'd have dozens of hack attempts a day). No longer an issue with our new webhosting company with much stronger security the last year and a half. Also shocked this 2003 era fourm isn't a spam wasteland.

I see my Navicache stats banner I use as my signature is a broken image. Add that to the list. In another thread, it's discussed this site hasn't listed a new cache since November 2014, and there is a guy who claims he submitted some in 2015 or 2016, but they were never published. It's so abandoned they're not even visiting their own site.
