That was a great post, Mr. Chit! The brown-nosing is absolutely rampant, as is the geosnobbery and general hostility to those who don't mindlessly bow to their views on "rules." I'm amazed at the "submit to our way of thinking or quit using gc.com attitude" by many.
It is always a joy to find a Navicache--I agree!  :)

If you found it to be "extreme and offensive language" then why would you post the same link here? ???

No need to remove the link at this time. I was just making a point and (personally) do not find it that offensive. In fact I  smiled and pictured Quinn doing something like that! :grinnin

Are you able to get into the forums? Are there any 'messages' when you click that warnameter?

This is total Discrimination and I myself wonder why I even bother with GC. I wish I could figure out a way to have more cache hits on Navicache and more Navicaches listed in my area.

I wonder the same as you seem to hate it so!

P.S. The name and the poem is nsync, I don't feel I should have to change a thing.  Why do I need to go by a couple of peoples opinion, just to get my cache listed over there.

Umm, because they have been given that authority by the site owner. Disagree with their practices as you (and others) may, I lay odds your current methods will further alienate more than they will convince them to change.

Dear M/M Chit (and any little chits),

Let's end the drama or as my daddy would say: "chit or get off the pot".  Please be done with GC and any double posting which only screws up the Hitchiker tracking.

While many don't think caching is a contest about "hits", you can get more by hiding more.  If you want caches in your area, again, hide more to spread the better quality concepts of NaviCaching  :2cool

Do you like geosnobs? Those omniscient cachers who belittle and berate others from their pulpits on the "rules" of geocaching never fail to repulse me. There's a clique of geosnobs that reign over those message boards and their abilities to be sycophantic to their masters never fails to sicken me.
God bless Navicache and its utter lack of the geosnobs.
I need a Navicache sticker or cap to go along with my Calvin Cache shirt. Must show my support.

I still ask....If you detest that site so, why continue to visit their forums at all? I mean if I go to a restaurant and continuously get bad food, I stop going there!

Not defending them, but at the same time this has been an on going thing and I say ...If the food sucks, then please stop eating there!

Besides, while we may not promote all of their policies and practices, we also do not want to become a site known for a reputation of constant flaming either.

Congrats: you're the only one spreading the word of NaviCache within 24mi of this hide.  Hopefully this will bring others into the fold of Rev. Calvin.  And you have a challenging concept of only providing a co-ord for parking.

What's the possibility of Rocky Mountain snakes and spiders living in the NaviCache hole?

I agree about the "geosnobs". I think we all know who we are talking about, without naming names here. They are the ones who have 6 million posts and about 60 finds, yet they go around actually posting the "rules" in their messages, as if they are the self-appointed overlords of the site. The hostility over there has increased. I don't see any of that on the state boards that I have joined, or here at Navicache. It's a much friendlier atmosphere to be in!
Me: yep, I have been controversial at times, even shot my mouth off a time or two, but I try to help out newbies and those with questions as best I can and actually contribute to this sport. I always try to come up with innovative and "cutting-edge" types of caches. I even went so far to organize an effort to place a Tribute Plaque at the site of the first-ever cache. Please don't think I am blowing my own horn here, I am just trying to point out that I really DO try to contribute to a hobby I love, rather than become a "Forum God". At times I have a strong opinion and I stick to it, and I don't take bu****** from anyone. I will treat others with respect and expect the same back. Ok, enough of this. Gotta go cache!

I just have to ask - my opinion set aside - what this thread is supposed to accomplish other than bring negativity into these forums?  ???

Don't get me wrong, as I agree with most of what is being said here.  Karma will eventually visit everyone and give them their due...
