I will be glad when spring gets here.  Not only will finding caches be fun,  working outside won't be as bad.  This single digit temperature chit sucks.  I have to put on a lot of layers of clothes to get through the day. :( For now though, I have to keep a positve attitude and just get through it.  I know in time the snow will stop, and with some luck, the sun might come out.

I feel for you guys.  I wonder when all the global warming is coming we could use some. While we don't have snow, typically I am out sailing at the end of February but the weather has been too bad.

The good side is all of my grass has actually died too, if we have a dry March and April then I won't have to cut grass until May.   :rotflmao

Have a good one and stay warm.

The sun came out today and I was able to work without my gloves.  It's hard to believe that 30 degrees is actually hot out. :grinnin My family is starting to talk about finding caches again. :love It's amazing what the sun can provide, I can't wait till spring :D  I just put a couple of mountain bikes on layaway, so we can find them hidden caches on the trails with a little more excitment:rotflmao

Actually I am glad there has been snow. I have been out snow mobiling every chance I can get. I have also been thinking of placing a cache while out on the sled.

I ride the webster trails quite a bit and use the gps every time.

I make maps for fellow sledders of the area so they know the trails.
Using my Garmin V and the software, I used the "track back" feature to make this map while on my run...

Yardboy the coward...get your butt out of India and come back home and suffer like the rest of us  :)

I am caught between to LIKES here, I like to use the sled but I also like hitting the trails for caches.
I think I am just about done with my share of the snow for the year. ;)

I've had enough myself. Went to a cache this past weekend, & finding it in the snow was bad enough. When I finally found it, I could have used a pick-axe to get it free from the block of ice it was encased in. ???  C'mon springtime. :p

Yeah we picked up 10 inches of the white stuff here this winter. It was just horrible!  :grinnin

Actually it sucked cause we usually don't get snow. I sure don't miss the snow!

It felt so good to get out this weekend and finally do some caching. It was cold and we didnt find either one we went after, but it still was great!

This weather is unbelievable.  Waking up to snap, crackle, and pop isn't cool.  Thankfully we still have electric and no tree limbs came down on our house or cars yet.  This ice storm doesn't seem to be as bad as the ice storm back in 91,
but it is bad enough to where I can't work, and all four kids are home from school.

I don't recall a time in my twelve-year career of being a carpenter where I have had so much time off of work due to the weather.  It is taking a toll on my financial situation, and I am sick of it. :sick  Candie and I have already started making arrangements to move to Jacksonville, FL.  There is just no way I am going through another winter in Rochester, NY.  The building is booming out in Fl, and there just seems to be more opportunities.  You can look for yourself at Jacksonville.com.
More jobs and the cost of living is cheaper.:p

P.S. I would find a cache today, but a tree limb might fall on my head.:0

It is now 75% official we are moving to Florida within the next 3 weeks.  The other 25%  is the family we are leaving behind; they all want us to stay; like my wife's mother, she is really upset.  I keep telling all of them  that they are welcome to come with us , or they will have a nice place to stay when they come for a visit.  ;)

Anyways, I need to figure out what we are going to do with our hidden caches.  ???

Should we retire them or ask someone to adopt some of them.

Any suggestions?

Well were I in your place, I would probably first see if anyone in the area wanted to adopt them.

If no one does adopt them then obviously remove them, as abandoning caches would be a big NO-NO!

Me being in your area works out well. I will keep an eye on the caches and if there is a problem I will make sure they get removed or updated.  :)

I hope Florida works out well for you. Gonna miss you guys at all the picnics if you do end up going.

But at least I know we will see some new Navicache's pop up in Florida.   ;)

I have driven through your area before on my way to a town called "Dove Creek" to do some Elk hunting. Nice out that way.  :)
