|Around here a much higher percentage of caches listed on navicache.com or opencaching.us are unique to those sites. By making cross listing easy like they have done, it make their site much less useful and unique.|
That has been exactly my point. Since anyone who was simply curious about the Garmin site, could "publish" all their existing caches on OC.com in a matter of minutes (once they had their GC.com GPX file), many of the owners of caches on the site, may never have even visited the site more than once. Even if they used it for a while, what are chance that when they get bored with it, they will update the Garmin listings, when things have changed with the original GC.com listing (including it being archived)?
Given how easy they've made it, I think the problem of orphaned caches at OC.COM will be greater than it has been here.
