Thanks, guys. It was great fun.

Magellan started two more adventures Monday (and will probably start yet another on Tuesday). It's fun to just try to guess the location, even if it's halfway across the country. My early money is on Sacramento, California and Portland, Oregon.

Drats! I teamed up from afar with WheelsMan on the Portland cache. Coordinates went up. Phone call went out. WheelsMan had about a 15 minute jump on everyone, but that darned cache proved hard to find. Second on site was first to find. Congrats to lobotomy.

Watch the Magellan site for next week's new adventures. One of them could be near you. And even if they aren't, it's still fun to watch.

Adventures 13-16 are out. It looks like North Carolina, Michigan, Colorado and Germany. Any locals from those areas who want to shoot me an email offline, I'll be glad to offer my ideas on the clues.

A few new cities up today - doesn't look like anything in my area, though.  I'll be on vacation for the next two weeks so I hope nothing gets posted in the Rochester region while I'm gone!  I do have a backup watching the site, just in case.   I know how my luck runs.  ???

This week's adventures look like Pittsburgh, Atlanta, and maybe Memphis or St Louis. This last one is hard to pin down with any certainty.

The clues aren't easy to decipher. It looks like it's Pittsburgh, Atlanta, and Nashville.

Atlanta seemed to be dog eat dog. Nashville coords posted before I left Georgia. Still got 4th to find after the 3 hour + drive. Thanks to Magellan and REI for the contest!

Good for you, sledgehampster. It's funny how different cities react differently. Last week, Pittsburgh had a fun frenzy. Atlanta had some bitter disappointments, and Nashville was mostly a snooze.

My track record isn't all that good, but this week, it looks like we're headed to Detroit, Seattle, and California's Napa Valley.

I'd like to see someone tie this week's Adventure #31 to Rochester, but I can't quite do it with Journal entry #1. I'm stuck before a waterway crossed by George Washington.

The fact that this week's cache is almost certainly not in Rochester (I'm working on Philly clues with my southern associate) won't keep me from going out searching tonight, I don't think!

I'm all stubborn like that.

Yep, it looks like Philly. Sorry, Rochester. Maybe next week.

And St Louis. And southeastern Virginia.

While I wait for the Rochester cache I'll just do research on every park that has anything vaguely historical, including elderly trees.

I think this is a sound strategy and will help me in the long run.

You won't have to wait long. Adventure #31 looks like it is right back in Rochester today.

I hope the {Rochester} cache is in a safe spot that is accessible to all types of cachers (like last year.) I went to check out one park today and saw a car had its window busted out. Yikes!

When adventure 31 clue 1 posted I thought instantly "Sam Patch!!" and was so happy to see the contest had come to Rochester, NY again! I can't wait until the mad dash... Had so much fun last year and have been looking forward to this all summer!

I would like to suggest a "torture the clue writers" event after the main contest concludes.

Turn about is fair play.

It all depends on the location and whether anyone can explain how all the clues lead you there. I'm having a hard time imagining a solution like that myself, even a multi. We've got at least two graves, two bridges, and two waterfalls hinted at in the clues.

I just can't see how they'll tie together...what a change from last year when there was already a party in the park at this point!  Right now, I can't even home in on a zip code!
