I went after Gimpys "greenway" cache on sunday late morning and while there I decided to take my sun glasses off and set them down so I could read the logbook and snap a couple of pictures. Well once we (Caron and I) were all done we walked back to the roadway which was a good distance away. This morning (Tuesday) I get up and go to work and just now realize I don't have my expensive sun glasses anymore, why? because I left them at the Cache site!
I quickly jump in my truck and zip back out to the Cache area and at a fast pace walk the little less than 3/4 miles back to the Cache. Yup, there they were, sitting where I left them. I picked them up and placed them around my neck and decided I would reopen the Cache to see if any new logs were added since I was there last, there was one!
I closed the Cache back up and walked up to the trail area and back out to my truck 3/4 of a mile out to the roadway. I get to the truck and fumble around my pockets to grab my keys to unlock the doors, uhhh, no keys! yup...you guessed it, set them down on the %#$@ Cache area to open and read the logbook. People in the near houses could hear me say words that southern truck drivers would have been proud of as I once again walked the 3/4 mile hike to and from the Cache to get my $%#@& keys. If I had a bat with me I would have clubbed Gimpys Cache into a crushed coke can. MY FEET HURT!!!!!!

Wish you'd waited a little longer to retrieve them, we were there later in the morning, I could have used some new sunglasses.

Well...if you would have showed up while I was throwing my temper tantrum you most likely would have thought I was a loon and called the cops on me  I must say however, I did enjoy the cache hunt itself, even if I did do it three times
Haven't seen you around the board lately, thought maybe you got lost in the woods.  :grinnin

Ok Quinn, so we did something similar to your experience at the Greenway cache.......Except this was at Rocky's Hog's back Vista cache.

On this particular day I decided to see how much I could push the fam.  Targeted 5 caches and Hog's Back Vista was the last.  We were all dragging a bit but trudged on anyway.... ok so I have my pushy side....   we walk out and I discover that I  love the place this cache was placed.  I end up sitting in a wonderful spot and although I'm tired I couldn't have thought of a better place to be........  so we trade and leave a note then walk out.  Kids discovered vines and make like Tarzan.  Then eversure son discoveres that he doesn't have his trade.  So we walk back.  Find the trade and trudge off.  I start feeling the muscles in my legs ache...but the vines were still there so as we're swinging  Sweety gal says she can't find her retainer...$150 retainer....says she left is near the cache.....by now my legs feel like rubber and I picture myself looking for the better part of an hour for this pink retainer in amongst the leaves (it was in the fall) and all I want to do it lay down but hey, I'm the mom so off we go.....That's when fearless says to Sweety...."Open your mouth"...Yeap retainer was there all the time..........I'm feeling tired just thinking of it!  But hey it was an awesome view!!
