I've decided that I don't want to log caches found on multiple sites, so that I can more easily count my "total caches found" among the various sites.

Is the only way to "edit" a log to get the original deleted and to then log a note instead of the find?

If you wish to change the log from 'Found' to Comment/Note' then yes, the you would need to need to use the 'Edit' function.

You can then change the status as well as any comment text you had previously entered.

Thanks.  I had actually missed the edit button.  I was looking for it and somehow had a blind spot to it.  Only think I can think was that I wasn't properly logged in OR I'm going blind.

It'll my my NC stats go down, but I have decided to start tracking my TOTAL geocache finds when it comes to my milestones and see if I can make my big milestones either a NC (or TC).  When I do post a milestone on GC, it'll read something like...

"#1500 on this service, 1525 overall geocache!" or something.

On "Cache-A-Maniacs", Darryl and Dree always ask folks what they'd like to see improved about geocaching and many folks say they'd like to see the return of virtuals or other answers that indicate that they're only talking about the one site.

If I ever have the honor of being a guest on the show, my answer will be, "I'd like geocachers to realize that "geocaching" is a sport (or whatever your want to call it) and not synonymous with one particular listing service.
