Just getting started in Geo-caching, and to be perfectly frank, I am a leeeeetle bit disappointed in the the junk that passes for prizes.

I was toying with the idea of starting my own cache with a minimum of $1.00 for items to trade.

Is that too much to ask? Would I be regarded as a snobby
SOB if I asked people to do that?

Generally speaking that is what most (in my experience) do. Usually Dollar Store type items.

You may not be 100% successful, but I think if you write up your cache page right, I don't think that folks will consider it unreasonable.

Curious, is this a problem you've seen with NC hides or on other sites?  Around here, I don't see enough action on the NC listings, to make a good evaluation.
