I found it! 21 Jun 2005    HOGS BACK VISTAS  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

Beautiful views from the walk in. The cache is in real good shape. Lots of goodies. Thanks for leading us to this seldom utilized part of the park. TN/ left 2AA batteries. Added some more cover.
Wolf Creek and Lynn.

I found it! 16 Jun 2005    Gibsonville Doublet  ( Difficulty: 4    Terrain: 2.5 )

Lynn and I enjoyed the history of the area of this cache. It was a little rainy today, so parts of the trail were muddy but passable. The rains had added to the flow of Silver Lake Outlet, so the falls were impressive. TN/ left batteries/ SL.

I found it! 16 Jun 2005    What's the Point  ( Difficulty: 2    Terrain: 1 )

Log book wet. SL/TN/ left batteries. Trade items have been depleated. Looks like cachers haven't been trading even or better.

I found it! 05 Jun 2005    End of 18  ( Difficulty: 2    Terrain: 2.5 )

Lynn, the girls and I took a pleasurable walk to find this one. It was the first cache hunt for the girls and they enjoyed it. I got them into the general area of the cache and told them to find it and they immediately went directly to the cache. Got some great pictures of the general area and especially of the cascades of the creek that leads into Silver Lake Outlet near the main park road.

I found it! 25 May 2005    1856 Mule Path  ( Difficulty: 2.5    Terrain: 1.5 )

Cache is in great shape. There is a beaver dam close to the cache; the lodge is a few feet from the path. Also saw a hen wood duck and ten ducklings in the water above the dam. Saw the beaver a couple hundred yards upstream. TN/ left 2 batteries. Thanks for the history lesson.

I found it! 20 May 2005    Low & Behold (Read Warning)  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

Nice hike to this cache. Beautiful view of the Upper Falls. If you follow the scenic route, you can also see the ribbon falls at Inspiration Point. Good hide!

I found it! 20 May 2005    Busy as a Beaver  ( Difficulty: 2.5    Terrain: 2.5 )

Nice hike to cache. Added more cover to cache (bark). TN/ left two batteries.

I couldn 19 May 2005    Deep Cut  ( Difficulty: 1.5    Terrain: 1.5 )

Looked for almost one hour. We must be blind or the cache is extremely well hidden. Will return someday soon and re-attempt.

I found it! 11 May 2005    1779 Memorial Tree  ( Difficulty: 2    Terrain: 2 )

Cache in good shape. TN/ left 2 AA batteries. The tree in question is a burr oak. Its acorns have burrs on the order of a horse chestnut. Thanks for the cache.

I found it! 10 May 2005    Hornby Lodge: Frontier Mansion  ( Difficulty: 2    Terrain: 2.5 )

Nice hide! Beautiful views! TN/Left two toy cars. Left here and traveled N on Park Road towards Dishmill's Creek. Had the opportunity to watch two beaver feeding near their lodge; probably twenty feet from road.

I found it! 07 May 2005    Penny's Point  ( Difficulty: 2    Terrain: 2.5 )

Cache seems in very good shape, so it must have over-wintered very well. Beautiful views from this spot. Took nothing; left toy tiger. Thanks for the hide!

I found it! 03 May 2005    Verda's Log  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 2.5 )

Nice day for a stroll through the country side. Lynn and I started from West Lake Road and after having to skirt a swampy area found a very nice hide. The contents are a little damp because there is a hole in the top of the cache box (stuffed with some plastic). Signed log book. Left a dollar bill; took nothing. Re-covered the cache and added more cover. Thanks, Roadkill.

I found it! 03 May 2005    Silver Lake Rail Road Trail  ( Difficulty: 1.5    Terrain: 1.5 )

The old railroad bed makes a very easy approach to this hide. On this day the only other person that we saw was a man fishing in the Silver Lake Outlet. Very clever hide. Took nothing; left Star Wars Toy. Signed log and rehid.
