I found it! 13 Jul 2003    Watership Down  ( Difficulty: 1    Terrain: 1 )

Found all three parts today with onamission. The first cache is in very poor shape. Its cracked and the lid is also in pieces. the contents were a little soggy, but the next set of coords were still legible. the other caches are in good shape.
nice maze of trails going back through the woods. bug repellent is a must this time of year. Signed the log, TN/LN, thanks for the hunt.

I found it! 13 Jul 2003    Maple Grove Cache  ( Difficulty: 1.5    Terrain: 1.5 )

found this one a gorgeous day. we parked on the street very close to the cache and found it easily. we walked down to the falls after realizing there was a better place to park. havent been to this area so it was nice walk the trail to the rose garden and take in a few scenic overlooks. took cd, left keychain/tape measure. thanks for gettin gus to this part of the city.

Note 24 Jun 2003    Water for your soul  ( Difficulty: 3.5    Terrain: 1 )

verified that both of the caches were still present in their original locations. check the clues and pictures if you get stumped.

I found it! 15 Jun 2003    An 'Erie' Place  ( Difficulty: 1.5    Terrain: 1.5 )

Nice park. The waterfalls near the lock are always a great place to come and relax. Found the cache without any problems. Thanks for the hutn. BTW, the logbook needs replacing.

I found it! 08 Jun 2003    Tamarck Swamp Cache  ( Difficulty: 1    Terrain: 1.5 )

Had a great time getting to this one. Not only was the walk very scenic, but the mood was also enhanced by the various birds calls. Took nothing, left Harry Houdini travel bug. We picked him up in new york city and he's heading out to Wisconsin. Thanks for getting us out to this area of the park.

I found it! 08 Jun 2003    Ghost's Domain  ( Difficulty: 2    Terrain: 1.5 )

Since this was the first cache placed in the Rochester area, we had to go after this one. We had planned on finding this one while at the picnic, but spent a little too much time looking for the event cache. Very scenic overlooks of the area and saw a few deer in the process as an added bonus. TN/LN. Thanks for the hunt.

I found it! 07 Jun 2003    2003 New York Area Cachers Picnic!  ( Difficulty: 1    Terrain: 1 )

Thanks to Quinn and everyone for organizing such a nice event! Putting some faces with all the logs we've read over the past year adds a more personal feel. Although some cachers do not look like what I imagined. My wife enjoyed conversing to everyone as she is quite the talker. Thanks for the wonderful day!

I found it! 27 Apr 2003    Seneca Trails  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

An excellent place to visit. This was our last find of the day and most favorite. Found the cache in good condition on a nice sunny day. Our parking spot was very close to the cache so we didnt have too far to walk. After the find, we decided on walking a little farther down the trail to take in some of the scenic views, creeks and wildlife. We'll be back to explore the other trails and to do some more caching. Also saw a few ducks walking through the woods. TN/LN, Thanks for the adventure.

I found it! 05 Oct 2002    Letchworth Fall Cachers' Gathering  ( Difficulty: 1    Terrain: 1 )

Our first cachers' get together was a great experience. It was nice to actually meet and see those people provide us with so much fun and adventure out there. The event was well planned and provided a lot of a new memories for us. We really enjoyed the “dash for the cache” adventure. thanks!

I found it! 28 Sept 2002    On Top of an Esker  ( Difficulty: 2    Terrain: 3 )

It was another team effort as Onamission and my bro were with us on this one. We decided to “dash for the cache” by parking on the street and taking the short way through. For a late September day, it was quite warm and we were feeling the effects after walking up and down a few hills. The crescent trail was new to us and did not know what to expect. Thanks for showing us this area. We’ll be back again.

I found it! 28 Sept 2002    Issaquah Saw A Deer  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

Our first of five caches we found this afternoon. I haven’t been to Mendon ponds park in years and now remembered what a great place this was. Found this one with onamission and my bro from nyc at about 1:30. Found a nice parking spot and took a trail which led good-size hill. The climb warmed us up. On our way out we heard, then spotted a few white tail running though brush. Took nothing, left nothing. Thanks for the hunt.

I found it! 28 Sept 2002    Cacher's Cache Can  ( Difficulty: 1.5    Terrain: 1.5 )

This was our third of five caches found this afternoon. We hiked directly from ‘Mendon Ponds Cache’ which made it all the more adventurous. This one was pretty difficult to find because the tree cover hampered our readings quite a bit. Also, there are a lot of potential hiding places in the area.

I found it! 28 Sept 2002    Wadham's Walk  ( Difficulty: 2    Terrain: 3 )

Our fifth and final cache for the afternoon. We were pretty tired by this time because we decided to stop in between to grab a bite to eat. It’s not as easy getting motivated after just eating a Tom Wahls cheeseburger with everything. But we enjoyed the walk and the terrain was a cinch. Took nothing, left nothing. Thanks for the hunt.

I found it! 22 Sept 2002    Issaquah In Irondeqoit  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

Found this one with onamission on Sunday afternoon about 3pm. The gate was closed, so we parked at the top and hiked our way down. This was our first time to this park and we really enjoyed the trails and views of the bay. The trail listed in the clue was not well traveled as evidenced by the undergrowth. Some places on the trail can get steep and take you close to the edge of the water. Took a picture with the camera and signed logbook. Took the room key travel bug and left some bubbles. Thanks for the new experience.

I found it! 22 Sept 2002    Shagadellic Cache  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 4 )

2nd of two found in this park today. In the logbook (9/15/02), I noticed that someone who is not a cacher had found it on accident. They wanted to know more about the sport and left their phone number for someone to contact them. Sorry, I did not take their number down. Tried to conceal the cache better. Took nothing, left nothing. Thanks for the challenging adventure.

I found it! 18 Sept 2002    Rocky Adventure by The Wheelygood Team  ( Difficulty: 4    Terrain: 2.5 )

We came here last Saturday with some other family members. The four of us looked for an hour with no success. We forgot to bring the cache description and the clues with us which made the hunt completely impossible. Later, after looking at the description and clues, I knew exactly where to look. Tonight found the cache with no problem. We finished logging as the sun was setting which made for a very picturesque view. My wife commented that the water looked beautiful at dusk.(it looked blue and not the normal green color) We did notice some people sitting on the rocks enjoying the sunset about a 150ft to the east. They were looking curiously in our direction as we were re-hiding the cache. I don’t believe they had any clue what we were doing.
Excellent job hiding the cache! Took handwarmer, left miniature deck of playing cards. This was the toughest hunt for us yet. Thanks for the challenging adventure!

I found it! 18 Aug 2002    Beechwood Trails  ( Difficulty: 2    Terrain: 2 )

highly recommend this one to everyone. very nice area and lots of trails and places to explore. the old buildings make it seem like you're walking through a ghost town. nice hiding spot as well. thanks for the hunt.

I found it! 08 Aug 2002    Decoding The Clue  ( Difficulty: 4.5    Terrain: 2 )

truly excellent hiding places. my wife found the first one even though I kept telling her she was looking in the wrong area. Had to come back a another day for the second cache due to a high volume of people enjoying the park. took a picture with the camera, left a pencil and highlighter. thanks for the great adventure!

I found it! 03 Aug 2002    Gimpys Walk  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

This one does not take too long if one stays on the trail. The tree cover did not seem to hamper sat reception, but provided much needed shade. thanks for the adventure.

Note 27 Jul 2002    Brodies Box  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

I found it! 04 Jul 2002    Watch out for Private Property!  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

Found this one when having our family picnic back on the 4th. despite the tree cover, my map330 was only off by about 25ft. took a different way back which made the hike much more exciting
