I couldn 01 Sept 2002    Gracious Pond  ( Difficulty: 2.5    Terrain: 1 )

Well, we got to the car park, transcribed the clues and entered the co-ords to the GPSr and off we went.

Round the pond with a cheery hello to cyclists and a quiet nod to fishermen and off up the hill.

The GPSr pointed straight to a tree stump.

We searched and searched. We looked at other tree stumps in the locality.

We looked down holes, up trees and in brambles.

Then, knowing yer man, we looked for another clue rather than a cache.

We found zilch.

Another of Robin's that we will have to go back to.

I found it! 01 Sept 2002    Chobham Common  ( Difficulty: 1    Terrain: 1 )

Parked up the top of the common and had a great walk across to the primary location. GPSr took us right to the dot.

Found the number and transcribed the clue, entered the co-ords.

0.83 miles away!

Huh! Too far to trek at this time late on a Sunday afternoon, and then have to get back to the car so we decided not to try.

Mind you on our way home we went to that pub near Gracious Pond for a quick pint, and whilst we were parking the car..........................

Left a yoyo and took a picture and a Legoland Dragon.

Second in the log, but I think the first entry was an accidental find, the finder signed the log and replaced the cache, but, he says, not quite in the same place.

Cache not well hidden at all, so placed further back in the foliage at that point.

I found it! 17 Jun 2002    Swinley Forest  ( Difficulty: 1.5    Terrain: 1.5 )

Despite going against the GPS for a few minutes having a preconcieved idea, decided to trust the lat/long and saw it!

Left a little game and took a Red Devil, Angela took a photie of Isobel & self.

Cheers,

Dodgydaved, Isobel and Angela

I found it! 15 Jun 2002    Sunninghill  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 1 )

Lost my (geocaching) virginity!!!!!!

Went out last night and found the first clue easily, though a little local knowledge did help!

Second clue should have been found quicker, started by taking it literally and then thought a bit more and got it!

Final destination nightmare. My GPS does not have a very good ranging tool. Eventually gave up and went home, got out old fashioned map, pencil and geometric compass, drew a circle, and BINGO. Actually it was Isobel who got it first!

Went back this am and there it was.

Left a car, took JINGLE and tried to take a photo but the shutter release didn't work.

Cheers Robin & June.

I found it! 13 Jun 2002    Cranbourne  ( Difficulty: 1.5    Terrain: 1.5 )

Hello People,

Lovely Sunday morning, dropped son off to work at Legoland at 8:30 and was at the cache by 8:50.

So that's what a blasted oak looks like, no sign of Herne the Hunter or Falstaff though.

Took a photie and a Baa Lamb and left a pink rubber thingy (that's for erasing things mind).

Covered cache up well (I hope)

Nice one DodgydaveD

PS I know today is July 15th but I only logged the visit on geocache.com and forgot this site, sorry<GGGG>
