I found it! 27 Apr 2003    Spiderman's Hideout  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

Found this one on the second try. Took some convincing to the younger members of the team to do the actual searching, but we got it!

I found it! 19 Apr 2003    Candie's Cache  ( Difficulty: 2.5    Terrain: 1.5 )

What a great day for a walk, and a great cache with which to restart our team's caching season. The girls spotted it up right off the bat.

I found it! 14 Jul 2002    Subway Cache  ( Difficulty: 3.5    Terrain: 3.5 )

Well, we were waiting for this one based on a promise made by Hinge and Rippie last week.
Once I had the time, I pounced! Happily to find that it was hidden in a place where I have spent A LOT of time over the last few years - as a matter of fact, we didn't even take the GPSR along with us on this one.
From an old High School cheer, We're number one. Couldn't be prouder. If you don't believe us, we'll shout a little louder! Check out the team punch when you log in.
To those who come after me - use all your skills and senses.
Thanks for the cache guys, you always work hard to give us good ones.

Oh yeah - to Rippie: Huckle Buckle Beanstalk Bubba!!!!!!!

I found it! 10 Jul 2002    The Orc's Treasure  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 4.5 )

Here in middle earth, tensions are rising, and war is looming on the horizon. It would appear that the trolls have in fact plundered the treasure hidden not so long ago by the Orcs. Their plundering was horrible. The lid was ripped from the container, and the container was tossed far down the hill. Further, the container was completely empty. The only thing found in the Orcs' cave was an ugly creature, whom we managed to catch on film for your identification.
Seriously, due to coverage from trees, I could not get a satisfactory lock on the sats to give co-ordinates for where the cache actually was, but I can say it was approximately 200 feet west of the co-ords listed on this page.
Hinge has been notified.

I found it! 08 Jul 2002    Seneca Trails  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

Nice day for a hike. Was the second cache we had a go at today. We were looking up the wrong tree, so to speak, to begin with. When we were right on top of it our GPS said we were 30 feet away!

The weather was better than last week. About 80 with a slight breeze. Thanks for the treats. We left a clock night light and took the african necklace.

I found it! 29 Jun 2002    Planes, Trains and Automobiles  ( Difficulty: 1.5    Terrain: 3.5 )

Holy crow! There were mosquitos everywhere! I was trying to write in the log book, but I didn't dare stop moving 'cause they were eating me alive. You can bet that as I log this find about 10 hours later that I am one huge itchy mess. At any rate, what a great time. All the other members of the team are out of town, so Mark decided to go for a walk (beats the pants off cleaning the house) and see what he could find less than a half mile from his house. There it was. When I found it, I was sorta embarassed since I had stepped right on it to go past it. Great place and thanks for introducing me to my own backyard.

I couldn 29 Jun 2002    the bass cache  ( Difficulty: 2    Terrain: 2 )

Was out for an hour and was chomped up pretty good by the skeeters. Will try again shortly. Had a rough time of it solo and will wait until another team member can join me. Ground very muddy and the roses are very scratchy.

I found it! 09 Jun 2002    Graveyard Grumble Part 1 of 2  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

See our report under Grumble pt. 2

I found it! 09 Jun 2002    Graveyard Grumble Part 2 of 2  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

Great day out! My mom (Nuna) was with us, and it took roughly 3 hours to run the whole thing - what slowed us up was me recovering from surgery, and walking slow. Amazing part was that even though I grew up in California, I found ancestors at rest in the cemetery. Obviously a lot of work went into this cache, and for that our team salutes you! We started a travel bug in this cache - it is Grand Slam, and wants to get to the Weed, CA area (hopefully in time for us to pick it up on vacation) where it can be recovered by Nuna and resent on its way around the bases again. Took the maroon kerchief for the girls.

I found it! 28 May 2002    Dog Chow Cache  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 2.5 )

Too bad my golden is 16 years old and beyond even caring to walk to the end of the street to get my older daughter from school. My youngest and I went in and after rambling a bit (I think the trees are starting to block signals) we found it. I will be returning in a few weeks due to the number of rose bushes we came across - would love to see them in bloom! Took doggie bones and left a book.

I found it! 27 May 2002    Carthage Landing Cache  ( Difficulty: 4    Terrain: 4 )

The guys left the ladies behind for this Memorial Day caching party and we had a great time cruising through the trees. When we got to the cache, there was a man and (likely) his grandchildren fishing not too far off. They were looking at us like we were crazy for digging around in the trees. Finally they got bored of watching us and left us in peace while we found the cache. Lots of stuff in it. Took a wheresgeorge (which the person who left had not logged into the system) and left a wheresgeorge (which I had logged into the system). Then we decided to go directly up the hillside from the cache (had parked almost directly above it) and I almost stepped right on top of a skunk! Thankfully it went in its den and I went around it. Last cache of the day.

I found it! 27 May 2002    Issaquah On The Ave Webcam Cache  ( Difficulty: 1.5    Terrain: 1.5 )

Couldn't get the picture to save on the computer, and I wasn't about to try and diagnose the problem while standing in the middle of the sidewalk in front of a restaurant while people were already glaring at us for standing by their cars with strange boxes in our hands. My wife saw all us guys on the sidewalk waving though.

I found it! 26 May 2002    High Falls Cache -That I can do and I will- Sam P.  ( Difficulty: 1.5    Terrain: 1.5 )

What fun! The ladies and I went out again and this time Mom found it. The water was high and the 8 year old took several pictures of the falls, while the 5 year old was scared she was going to fall in. The box itself is still in terrific shape, but as a warning to other seekers please make sure the lid is tight as rivers are notorious for humidity, and humidity may not be that great for some of the items inside. Took tictacs and left a National Weather Service (ham radio) Special Events keychain. Oh yeah, being a cop who used to work this part of the city, I think its too bad that Blackpete feels that way about the police - perhaps Pete could have inspired a new Geocacher instead of fostering suspicion.
