I found it! 18 Aug 2002    GPS Party  ( Difficulty: 1    Terrain: 1 )

Really enjoyable meet. Put faces to names of many Geocachers in the area but unfortunately had to leave early as we had an evening engagement.

Thanks

Chris

I found it! 24 May 2002    Victory Field  ( Difficulty: 2    Terrain: 1 )

13:30 Did this over a couple of lunch breaks as I did not have time to complete it all in one lunchtime. Found with relative ease when my GPS decided to start behaving itself. Took a Silva Roamer map reader and put in an indelible marker (Good for labelling geocaches). Took a picture and filled out the log book.

Thanks

Chris

I found it! 17 May 2002    Robin's Thicket  ( Difficulty: 1    Terrain: 1 )

13:40 Found cache after a good search. Very well hidden. Had to phone Robin regarding one of the clues along the way that was missing. He put me right on that though. Added and Took nothing as I had nothing small enough to put in. Filled out the log. I was first!

I found it! 01 May 2002    Waltham Walks  ( Difficulty: 1.5    Terrain: 1.5 )

14:00-Got to the place where the first part of the cache is and the bits of bark were not covering it. It was still there so I read it and went on my way. Found the cache after realising I was reading 300 feet on my GPS rather than 300 metres given on the clue. Interesting place to hide it. It was well covered when I found it. I took a photo, filled out the log and added a highlighter pen.

I found it! 16 Apr 2002    Cranbourne  ( Difficulty: 1.5    Terrain: 1.5 )

13:30 I work in Binfield so I popped out at lunch to get this. Got to the cache and found it very easily. That tree does not look too healthy. Put in a Michael Schumaker F1 car collector model from a few years ago. Took out a can of Pepsi Max.

Some interesting comments in the log.

thanks

Chris Franklin

I found it! 15 Apr 2002    Dinton Pastures  ( Difficulty: 2    Terrain: 1 )

Finally got back to retrieve the cache. Were some difficulties with this which Robin seems to have rectified. Anyway. I put a pair of Virgin Atlantic Travle socks in a very nice deep pink and took out nothing. I also took a picture of myself with the camera.

Thanks

Chris

I found it! 14 Apr 2002    Microsoft on Thames  ( Difficulty: 1.5    Terrain: 1.5 )

Nice walk although there was overcast. Model aircraft enthusiasts were flying their radio controlled planes near where we parked up to start this one. Hiding place is quite daring. I would think it would be difficult to retrieve this one without being seen if it was a hot and sunny day.

Thanks

Chris

I found it! 11 Apr 2002    Easy Dinton  ( Difficulty: 1    Terrain: 1 )

13:50 Found it towards the end of my lunch break because I did not read the instructions and parked round the wrong side of the park. Probably need the excercise though. Easy too find. I put in a plastic self adhesive coat hook, took a picture and signed the log.

I couldn 11 Apr 2002    Dinton Pastures  ( Difficulty: 2    Terrain: 1 )

14:12- Having just completed Easy Dinton I'm up against time. I find the waypoint and the first part reasonably quickly as I know what to expect from Robins caches now. Unfortunately the second part of the the Cache is in the opposite direction to my car and I am out of time!!! Taken a picture of the first part and will finish this one tomorrow. Doing a cache this way does make the hiding places a lot more flexible. That's all I will say

Thanks

Chris

I found it! 06 Apr 2002    The Lookout  ( Difficulty: 2    Terrain: 1 )

The clue made this one possible. After trying for it last week(And failing) we spoke to Robin who added a clue that made the Cache easier. Without that clue I would not rate this one as a 1 difficulty!!

Took Ear-rings and added a Triceatops bean ball we purchased from The Discovery Centre

I found it! 06 Apr 2002    Caesar's Camp  ( Difficulty: 1.5    Terrain: 1.5 )

14:10-This one is really well hidden. Put total faith in the GPS and found it fairly quickly. After doing a number of caches by the same person you start to think the same way as they do. Robins caches are always very well hidden.
Took Silva Roamer Map Measurer and added Folding hairbrush.

I found it! 06 Apr 2002    Jimmy Cricket  ( Difficulty: 1    Terrain: 1 )

16:00-Started looking for the cache and stumbled across the remains of the old trashed cache. Thought it was the new one and called Robin. Robin put me right on that score so Took it away the remains to prevent any confusion for future visitors. Had a nice lunch and a pint then went to look outside again. By this time the area had cleared of people so we could look about without looking silly. Having done The Lookout cache by Robin we knew what to expect so we found it with ease. Although the procedure we had to go through to get the cache was somewhat embarrassing. I will leave it at that!!

I found it! 06 Apr 2002    Englemere Pond  ( Difficulty: 1    Terrain: 1 )

16:45-We found the primary waypoint very quickly. Got muddy knees getting to it. This led to the location without much difficulty. The co-ords took me straght to it. Spotted the silver disk quickly. Without that disk this would have been trickier.

Took nothing and added a folding hairbrush.

I couldn 29 Mar 2002    The Lookout  ( Difficulty: 2    Terrain: 1 )

Got to the waypoint and could not see where the cache could be hidden without being seen. Searched high and low but came up with nothing. Tried using OS grid rference and the GPS. still nothing. Well all I can say if they were all easy to find it would not be fun.

I found it! 27 Mar 2002    Tweetiepie  ( Difficulty: 1    Terrain: 1 )

Found it at 13:20 today. Not easy. Those trees really messed about with the satellite signal to my eMap. The trick is I believe is to go the the 400 metre mark in the open and then circumnavigate, staying at 400 Metres. Even if you do this you can only see this one from a couple of directions. Good luck to all those who follow!!

I found it! 26 Mar 2002    The Royal Oaks (Queens Oak II)  ( Difficulty: 1    Terrain: 1 )

Emailed answers today and just got confirmation back that I had identified the correct trees.

Thanks....

I found it! 26 Mar 2002    The Queens Oak  ( Difficulty: 1    Terrain: 1 )

Found the cache during my lunch break today. Nice sunny day. a couple of gardeners were having lunch after cutting the grass on the green so I had to be a little careful. Took a CD and put in a collectors model car. Took a photo with the camera in the box and added an entry to the log. This was my cache find. Really enjoyed it.

Thanks

Chris

I couldn 25 Mar 2002    The Royal Oaks (Queens Oak II)  ( Difficulty: 1    Terrain: 1 )

My first atttempt to find a cache was not very sucessful!!!
Visited the cache during lunchtime with the aim to complete this one and CGBE3. Only had 10 minites to try to find it. Nice sunny day though.

Anyway I will try again tomorrow (I should have a bit more time to look about).
