I found it! 07 Dec 2003    Hilton Apple Cache  ( Difficulty: 2    Terrain: 2 )

We'd been thinking of putting one in this spot ourselves. We live less than 1/2 a mile from here and our kids use this trail often. Nice easy find. TNLN Thanks for the hunt.

I found it! 07 Dec 2003    Trey's Cache  ( Difficulty: 2    Terrain: 1.5 )

Well, although we're the first to log on-line, 2 other cachers actually beat us to the cache. Very nice job... nice hiding spot. We were happily surprised to find Mickey TB. Too bad we didn't find him a few weeks ago, as hubby was in Orlando on business. Oh well... Mickey will have to take a more indirect route. Anyway, thanks for the hunt.

I found it! 07 Dec 2003    Halloween Treats, No Tricks  ( Difficulty: 1    Terrain: 1 )

You're right about 'caching for dummies'. I didn't even get out of the car... Hubby went and got it and brought it back to the warmth of the car to do the log. (Man, it was cold out there today!) TNLN.Thanks for the hunt.

What an incredible spot!! We SOOO loved the tunnel and the well kept place...thank you for bringing us here!! Awesome! Adventuring Lovers
Took the spooky erasers, left some dice (roll 'dem bones! lol!) Also took both TB's (electron #1 & #3) before realizing we only needed one...we'll get them both back out in the field as soon as possible!

I found it! 17 May 2003    Escape  ( Difficulty: 2.5    Terrain: 2 )

Very long walk, but we saw lots of blackbirds and geese. Didn't get very wet. Saw other hikers, but no cachers. Took a hot wheels car, left a steel ball mini-maze.
Thanks for the hunt.

I found it! 27 Oct 2002    Cracker-Barrel Keepsake  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

Great hiding spot Rippie! Nice long hike that kept me warm on a breezy cool day...the cache is in real good shape too! Took the White Buffalo TB, left a duck TB. Thanks for a fun hunt!!

1/2 the Adventuring Lovers (the wife was a little under the weather for this one today!)

I found it! 14 Jul 2002    Silver Lake Rail Road Trail  ( Difficulty: 1.5    Terrain: 1.5 )

A nice trail - beautiful day. Path up the hill was well hidden. It took us a while to find it - we'd all walked past it several times before we noticed it. We took 'Ttraveling Barbie' to move along on her journey. Thanks for the trail. Adventuring Lovers - Nancy & Jay

I found it! 14 Jul 2002    1779 Memorial Tree  ( Difficulty: 2    Terrain: 2 )

A very nice park with an important history lesson. It was quite buggy in the bushes - so we made a quick exit and then continued to wander and read the plaques. We took the Kachin' Keychain Katcher for another leg in its journey. thanks for the adventure.

I found it! 06 Jul 2002    Mendon Ponds Cache  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

Gimpy...I wish I knew how you found all these cool parks and cache spots!! We took the easy route (for a change!) and the GPS took us right to it...the last few yards were an adventure, but hey - that's what it's all about!! Took the glass banana and left a Tazmanian Devil Bubble Blower. Thanks once again for a great adventure! (Now, on to Mendon Ponds II!)

I found it! 04 Jul 2002    Gimpys Walk  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

HOT HOT day (but cool with a bit of a breeze under the canopy!!) Knowing Gimpy as we do, we kept to the trail all the way around the hill until we got to the correct path...we were fooled a bit by the downed tree closer to the bottom, but managed to find the actual one a short time later.....Gimpy - I don't know how you find these places, but I like your caches the best!! (Shhhhhh...don't tell anyone else!! lol!!) Anyhow...thanks for a great trip, a heart pumping climb and a beautiful walk!! Took a CD of screen savers and left a frog bubble blower. Oh yeah - I took a picture of my beautiful wife with the camera too!! Thanks for a great one!

I found it! 04 Jul 2002    Shagadellic Cache  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 4 )

WOW!! This is definitely a 4!! Of course, as is our habit, we attacked it backwards like we always do!! I loved the hiding spot...don't know how you found it!!! HOT day for that kind of climbing, but we took the United American Travel Bug (so humbling!) so it was most definitely worth the effort!!! We left behind a new Travel Bug (Oran the Orangatan who's headed for as many zoos as he can visit) and a bag of marbles. Thanks for a great cache!!

I found it! 28 Jun 2002    THE HOBBIT - BAG END CACHE  ( Difficulty: 2.5    Terrain: 2.5 )

What a beautiful woods! Wouldn't it be nice to build a log cabin right in the middle of it and live out your days? And we loved the theme, too. We are all fans of The Lord of the Rings, and are planning a trip to Erie sometime soon. Thank you for sharing this adventure with us.
Took a dragon, left Lord of the Rings playing cards.

I found it! 28 Jun 2002    Eversure's C&S Cache....  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

This was our 2nd today - Akron is a beautiful little town. After we found the cache we went on up the trail to see the waterfall - how beautiful. It was a nice day for a hike in the woods - sunny, but not too hot.
We dropped off a travel bug - Bat and Ball. He wants to visit professional baseball parks. He's already been to Rochester's Frontier Field. Please help him on his way.

Note 26 Jun 2002    Earth Day Celebration '02  ( Difficulty: 1    Terrain: 1 )

I ventured out without my better half today - but I was joined by 3 of our 4 sons and our dog. It was a very hot day, but cooler in the shade of the woods. The GPS was all over the place at first - thought we needed new batteries, but in the end we just needed to be patient. Enjoyed the park - nice view of the river. Took a little wooden treasure box, left a puzzle ball (with directions). Thanks for the adventure.

I found it! 23 Jun 2002    We "Chit" You Not  ( Difficulty: 2.5    Terrain: 1.5 )

I found it! 08 Jun 2002    Chimney Bluffs State Park  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

Wow!! My legs are still tired!! My folks took me to that park many many years ago and it was nice to get back. The first part of the hike is quite the uphill trek, but the wife and I huffed and puffed our way to the top! We soon discovered the particular bush that hid all the snoozing mosquitoes and managed to avoid them the rest of the trip!! The Jack in the Pulpits were all over, mostly just a day or three beyond their peak, but we found and photographed one in full bloom!! The hiding spot was a bit damp in places and it was hidden so well it took a bit of work to locate (but that's the fun isn't it??!?) We took nothing and left a heart shaped slinky. Thanks for a great hunt in a perfect location!

Note 03 Jun 2002    ROCHESTER AND AREA CACHERS GET-TOGETHER!  ( Difficulty: 1    Terrain: 1 )

We had a great time - It's good to be able to put a face to all the names, now. Hope to see you on the trails and again next year.
Thanks for everything!

I found it! 02 Jun 2002    A Hawks View  ( Difficulty: 2    Terrain: 2 )

On our way home from the picnic on Saturday we were thinking that this would be a good park for a cache - and it is! It got kind of muddy the farther in we went, but we found what we were looking for.
Took a mini-flashlight/keychain, left golf balls.
Thanks for the adventure!
Adventuring Lovers & sons.

I found it! 02 Jun 2002    Maps Maiden  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

A little muddy, but this was our second one today and we're already muddy - so what the heck! Park was pretty busy, but we went away from all that to the cache. Heard the bull frog croaking at us. Found it pretty easily. Tried to cover our muddy tracks. Took a Celtic cross, left a book on tape.

I found it! 02 Jun 2002    Goin' Fishin' Cache  ( Difficulty: 2.5    Terrain: 2.5 )

Let our son lead the way - headed up the wrong side of the creek at first. Then headed over to the other side and weren't sure how to get down there - but we just kept going and it worked out. Saw a Blue Heron out in the middle of the creek - beautiful!
Took a football card, left 2 fishing lures.
Thanks a bunch!

I found it! 01 Jun 2002    Egyptian Hike  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

Nice trail - saw lots of deer tracks, some red-winged blackbirds, & a pair of red-headed woodpeckers. It was kind of mucky in places, but we found it. Beautiful Day!!!

Took nothing, left nothing

I found it! 27 May 2002    Message in a Bottle  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

Had a real hard time finding the bottle in part I - our GPS had us at the other end of the tree. We were almost ready to give up when Jay saw what looked like a little hole - reached in and there it was. Second part - I went right to it and didn't see it! 20 minutes later Jay found it - again! Great fun, thanks.

I found it! 27 May 2002    Crescent Hill  ( Difficulty: 1    Terrain: 1.5 )

Went here in hopes of adding to the Keychain Kacher, but alas, someone beat us to it this morning! Oh well, maybe we'll catch up to it soon! Excellent view and beautiful trail system - the birds were singing, the crickets chirping and the breeze whistling in the trees!! Sunny hot day - the bench came in handy. Thanks for a fun hunt!!

I found it! 25 May 2002    Graveyard Grumble Part 1 of 2  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

Awesome morning!! Beautiful weather and we fell in love with the cemetery! We knew it was there but never took the time to go wander....I had mentioned the Susan B was there and we ought to see if we could visit her while there, but lo and behold, you took us there anyways!! We loved the scenery and the unique spots you led us - thank you so much!! Took a bit over two hours once we parked and was time well spent!! We took one of our sons and he found 5 of the 6 locations first (ah, to be young again!! lol!) Took a book on tape (will drop it off somewhere else after listening!) and left a stuffed whale and a bandana. Thanks again!!

I found it! 25 May 2002    Graveyard Grumble Part 2 of 2  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

I found it! 17 Apr 2002    Seneca Trails  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

Found it on our second try (yesterday we went along the wrong side of the zoo!). My son's first 'find', and our dog's first cache. What a beautiful day! Will definitely return for a day in the park sometime soon.

I found it! 12 Apr 2002    Return to Earth  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

What a beautiful area!! We were unsure where to get to the head of the trail but the walk was lovely!! Great location for the cache too - not too far off the trail but out of the way enough that people won't stumble on it! Took a book, left a deck of Mountain Dew cards....also took the Scooby Doo travel bug! Thanks!!!

I found it! 07 Apr 2002    Maple Grove Cache  ( Difficulty: 1.5    Terrain: 1.5 )

Beautiful way to do a history lesson!! Loved the photos and the bit of Rochester history as well as the park. We took our ten year old along and he found this one first (his third!!) We've gotta leave him in the car and get a head start or something!! Didn't realize it was a letterbox type so didn't have our stamp with us, but we signed the log book. Thanks!!

I found it! 07 Apr 2002    High Falls Cache -That I can do and I will- Sam P.  ( Difficulty: 1.5    Terrain: 1.5 )

How you found such a spot in the midst of the urban area I'll never know! Great scenic view of the falls too. Our 10 year old found it first (again) and he gets soooo excited! Took a Gold Dollar Coin, left a skeleton stencil. Thanks for the fun!! (Oh yeah, we signed the softball too!)

I found it! 06 Apr 2002    Greenway Trail Cache  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

The wife was recovering from a sprained ankle but was itching to get out so we hiked the tracks to here. Great spot - an easy enough walk but long enough to make it interesting. Nice hiding spot too!! Thanks for a fun afternoon!

I found it! 24 Mar 2002    Geodecache  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 1.5 )

Found it!! Took two of our sons on this one and approached it from the west (oops!) so we had to find a place to ford the creek (managed to keep everyone dry!) Our 10 year old was the first to spot it - his first trip out too!! Beautiful area and great location...thanks!!

I found it! 10 Mar 2002    Creeks Edge Cache!  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

It took us 2 tries, but we finally found it. Took a baggie of change, left a little dragon. Only our 2nd cache adventure and are we ever hooked!

I found it! 09 Mar 2002    Night Stalker Part 1 of 2  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 1.5 )

Awesome idea! I've lived in Rochester 8 years or so and never had a clue what was so close by! While your hints were revealing enough they didn't lead us by the hand either, making the thrill of finding the goal that much more fulfilling! Thanks!!
