Happy 2005 all Limo Drivers!!

I never imagined when I started this cache (at the insistence of the Cache Raiders), that it would last so long, and be such a huge hit! I wanted to thank all of you for maintaining the limo, and taking such good care of it. I'm sure that one of these days it will be back in my garage so I can have a look at how well it's fared in it's travels, before sending it out on another road trip. Thanks again to all of you have found it, and good luck to those of you who have yet to find it!

Happy Motoring!

Note 15 Dec 2004    South Island Limousine  ( Difficulty: 1    Terrain: 1 )

OK, I updated the mileage........you guys HAVE been busy!! As it stands, by my rough calculations, Limo has travelled over 2300km in the 8 months it's been on the road!! That's about 290km a month! Thanks again, and let's keep 'er rolling! Out of curiosity, I saw a reference to an 'accident' on a couple of occasions......was that just keeping things in the 'car' vein, or did it meet with some misfortune along the way? Just curious......Have fun!

Note 14 Dec 2004    South Island Limousine  ( Difficulty: 1    Terrain: 1 )

Hey group!! Sorry I've been MIA around here for a few months. It's been really busy at work, and lots of other things going on. Thanks to all of you for taking such good care of the Limo, and for having so much fun with it. I have updated the date and the coordinates, and will update the distance traveleld once I've calculated it. You guys have been busy!! Thanks again for tkaing good care of it! And to clarify, yes, hiding it sooner is better. The 7 day thing is the maximum amount of time you should have it before rehiding it. You all have done an awesome job of keeping up with everything. Happy Holidays all!!

Note 23 Aug 2004    South Island Limousine  ( Difficulty: 1    Terrain: 1 )

Was that a rehide?

If it was, please consider the following, from the guidelines:

3. South Island Limousine must move at least 2000 meters from the previous location each time it moves.

If we're only moving it a few metres each time, what fun is that? I would just as soon it stay put until someone can move it farther away. You guys can still log the find, but if you're not planning on moving it far, please leave it for someone else to move. Thanks!!

Note 02 Jul 2004    South Island Limousine  ( Difficulty: 1    Terrain: 1 )

Caching crew? Cyberchasers? Bueller? Anyone? I'll go tomorrow if it's not gone by then!

Note 29 Jun 2004    South Island Limousine  ( Difficulty: 1    Terrain: 1 )

Boy, it's been 3 days since it's been hidden!! Do I have to go and find it again? I thought it would have been long gone by now!

Note 25 Jun 2004    South Island Limousine  ( Difficulty: 1    Terrain: 1 )

Sorry this took so long, gang! The cache is rehidden at:

N 48 26.149 W 123 24.388

It is behind a small tree with a hole in it, hidden in a rock crevice. Have fun!

By the way, if you look inside the small tree with the hole in it, you just might find another cache, that happens to be listed on the 'other' site. There is a travel bug in there that needs to move on. If you want to take him, please do, but you'll have to log him on the other site. He's in a Ziploc bag with a pen. If you take him, please put the 'mini' cache in the bag with the pen when you rehide it in the tree.

I found it! 21 Jun 2004    South Island Limousine  ( Difficulty: 1    Terrain: 1 )

Yay!!!! I finally found it! We were up this way to drop some things off with bcrockcrawler, as well as to enjoy the air conditioning in the Cache Cruiser. Ahhhhh..........
We had the coords for the second most recent hiding place, and were on our way there, when we passed the RockCrawler on the way there as well. He confirmed that Limo had been found and rehidden. We visited for a bit, then off to find the Limo! I love the idea of marking the # of times each person has found it inside the lid (Cache Raiders and GG-great idea!) The Limo took an air conditioned cruise back down island. Great hide, Raiders! OK, Victoria folks, it's your turn!!

Note 18 Jun 2004    South Island Limousine  ( Difficulty: 1    Terrain: 1 )

I always say that any cache site where you can still see the vehicle is OK in my books! Any chance of the cache coming down island one of these days? No rush!

Note 16 Jun 2004    South Island Limousine  ( Difficulty: 1    Terrain: 1 )

Hmmmmmmmm..........I may have to go find it one of these days! :)

Note 02 May 2004    South Island Limousine  ( Difficulty: 1    Terrain: 1 )

Received notification that the cache has been found-the finder is on their way back home and will log the find then. Have fun!!

Note 18 Apr 2004    South Island Limousine  ( Difficulty: 1    Terrain: 1 )

Just to clarify.......we had already posted the rehide and new coordinates before we ran into music-cachers. Just to keep things on the up and up!

Note 18 Apr 2004    South Island Mini  ( Difficulty: 1    Terrain: 1.5 )

Note testing.

Note 14 Apr 2004    South Island Limousine  ( Difficulty: 1    Terrain: 1 )

If you guys aren't going to get it, I will!! ;-)

I found it! 19 Jul 2003    West Bay Views  ( Difficulty: 1    Terrain: 1 )

As per usual, I made this harder than it had to be! And, BOY is hard to be discreet around there! I actually had a guy run by and ask if I was OK! Between pretending to be an amateur botanist, closely inspecting the greenery, and just admiring the views, I was able to retrieve and replace the cache in good time, without being noticed. Thanks for a great hide-on to WS#1!

I found it! 19 Jul 2003    Victoria Harbour Views  ( Difficulty: 1    Terrain: 1 )

2 for the day, and surprisingly low traffic, considering the time of day, and the location. I was able to scope it out before I grabbed it and took it to a nearby bench. Another relatively easy retrieval and replacement, with no untoward attention. Brilliant hide-thanks sweetheart!

I found it! 28 May 2003    Guns at Macaulay  ( Difficulty: 1    Terrain: 1 )

I guess I had to do this one sooner or later! This spot looked familiar for a number of reasons-I have run in this area many times, and shall we say, I have seen this area under the cover of night as well. Looks different somehow....... Brilliant hide! Thanks, MBC!

I found it! 05 May 2003    Malahat Summit  ( Difficulty: 2.5    Terrain: 3 )

Wow! What elevation gain! It was a fantastic view from the top, as is typical with Mariner caches. Thanks for an awesome trip!
