I found it! 06 Sept 2003    Winged Things  ( Difficulty: 2    Terrain: 2 )

1 of 2 today. We found part 1 very moving. The walk in the park for part 2 was nice. Clever hiding place! The buzzing, itchy winged things weren't too bad, being sunny today. Found the Tip E. Canoe travel bug - our first. We took him to a cache closer to water.

I found it! 06 Sept 2003    Lupin's Treasure  ( Difficulty: 2    Terrain: 1.5 )

2 for 2 today! This is actually a three part cache. Had the most trouble finding the parking lot! Got a nice view of Braddock Bay while driving around in circles! Left the Tip E. Canoe travel bug, since he wants to get near water. Thanks for the chance to explore a park we had never heard of before.

Note 21 Jun 2003    Hawthorn  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

Ok, now it's getting tricky. It was time for the youngest to lead us. There was slight rebellion amoung the troups as we took the wrong trail, got lost and wandered through mud. Found another trail...same result...Found the right trail and felt the exaltation of success! It was a great adventure! Left an M&M matchbox car and mini squirt gun. Took Yo-yo and bookmark.

I found it! 14 Jun 2003    Gypsum Mine II  ( Difficulty: 2.5    Terrain: 2.5 )

We had never been to this park before. It was a lovely walk - saw a lot of butterflys, a snake and rabbit. Missed the mining building, but found the box. Clever hiding place. Thanks.

I found it! 14 Jun 2003    Hawthorn  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

oops, forgot to mark this a find.

I found it! 08 Jun 2003    Morgans Adventure  ( Difficulty: 1.5    Terrain: 1.5 )

We decided to try geocaching as a family activity. We picked this one to try first since we are familiar with the park, and it was named for a child (so, how hard can it be?). We decided the last 7 feet are the hardest, but after taking our eyes off the gps and looking around, it didn't take long to find the box. Thanks for a fun introduction to this great sport.
