I found it! 04 Feb 2006    McNaughton Field  ( Difficulty: 2.5    Terrain: 1 )

Hey!...it's still there. The mud that is.
I was out in this part of the state on work reasons and had a few minutes to kill.
Great fun .

Thanks for submitting the cache to navicache.com

Note 08 Aug 2005    Genesee River Cache  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 2 )

Sorry you were not able to find it. I will head out to check on its condition or to see if its still there and update the page afterwards.

Log entry was deleted.

Note 21 Aug 2004    Letchworth Fall Gathering III  ( Difficulty: 1    Terrain: 1 )

I will be there as always. Not sure what I will be bringing yet though, but it will be something!

Note 12 Jun 2004    2004 New York Area Cachers Picnic!  ( Difficulty: 1    Terrain: 1 )

Even though I can't stay at the beginning, I will be dropping off the shelter permit for the park as well as several packs of hotdogs.

I should be back there right after my daughters dance recital.

Note 12 Jun 2004    50 States  ( Difficulty: 5    Terrain: 5 )

Have we gotten a status update on this listing yet?

Note 12 Jun 2004    Northhampton Cache  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 1 )

No, I am sorry but I have yet to get out that way to check on its status. I am hoping to get out there this weekend though to either update it or renew it.

Do not look for this cache until I report back. Thank you!

Note 07 Jun 2004    2004 New York Area Cachers Picnic!  ( Difficulty: 1    Terrain: 1 )

I took care of the shelter permit and all is set.
We could still use some people to bring items such as char coal, fluid, plates, napkins as well as meats and buns.

any takers?

Note 23 May 2004    2004 New York Area Cachers Picnic!  ( Difficulty: 1    Terrain: 1 )

As a result of my daughters dance being scheduled this same day I am sorry to say I will not be able to make this at the open.

I will do my best to get there but I am certain it will not be until late in the day.

Note 04 May 2004    Badge Adventure cache!  ( Difficulty: 2.5    Terrain: 1.5 )

I am sorry that there were two wasted hunts for this cache. I will try to get out soon to see what the actual status is of it and if there I will reactivate it.

Note 04 May 2004    Northhampton Cache  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 1 )

Sorry I got this message a bit late. I will try to head out and see if cache is still in location and get back here with a note.

I will bring the hots and a good number of burgers. Can someone try and bring rolls and buns?
I'll also bring an extra grill if needed to keep things cooking.

Note 08 Dec 2003    Cache Master ~Flash  ( Difficulty: 4    Terrain: 3 )

Hi light house...just wondering if anyone has had any luck based on the coordinates you have entered?

I found it! 15 Jul 2003    Peak Experience #54  ( Difficulty: 2    Terrain: 2.5 )

I drove a bit close to 40 miles to do this Cache. I know the area a bit as I have been up this driveway before delivering Construction equipment over a year ago for the water tanks to the upper left of the driveway.

It's kinda funny because at that time I always thought this would be a great area for a cache.

I bumped into a fellow "Owler" on the way in and his way out. he had a bit of a walk as he parked down at the roadside.

Cache was in great shape and the trail was perfect. This would be a great golf course!
Very scenic in areas as well.

I left a couple of wheres George Dollars and took a pix of myself. Signed the log book and repacked and replaced as I found it.

There are some pictures with this log, all are safe to look at but one is near the cache area but not a give-away.

thanks for the great time and for the nice hike.

BTW- watch out for those horse fly's!!

I couldn 12 Jul 2003    Water for your soul  ( Difficulty: 3.5    Terrain: 1 )

This sure is a tough one.
Came here twice but no luck yet and dont intend on giving up.

The first time I had to work around a wedding that was having it's pictures taken right there at the last waypoint, so I had to call it a day because of time .

The second time there was still a group of people there feeding all the Geese and ducks (pretty neat)
I came back with my daughter and wife and enjoyed the spot as well (duck feeding)

I spooked a snake that was catching a nap nearby on the shore and he zipped into the water (picture below)

Very nice spot and I am sure I just happen to be over looking something here... But I'll figure it out!

Note 29 Jun 2003    Cache in Trash out to Win a GPS!!!!  ( Difficulty: 1    Terrain: 1 )

This is a great idea!
Way to go Mike.
I am sure this is only the start of more to come with these events.

My hat goes off to Gander Mountain for providing you with the GPS to give away.
Please be sure to provide me with pictures of the winner so i can add them to a news write-up.

I found it! 14 Jun 2003    The Old Boneyard  ( Difficulty: 2    Terrain: 2 )

For a first time "Hider" you did a great job!

I never knew this was here and wish I had. Great idea and place for a cache. I came with Caron on this hunt and ran into a few hundred skeeters that didn't stop me from having a great time. Cache was well thought out and we spent some time looking around before and after our adventure. We were "First to find" which also made it nice.

After we headed back to the truck, Caron pulls out a can of skeeter spray she forgot she had... I wanted to leave her there for that alone!

I have included a couple pix you may notice on the way to the cache...safe to look at though!

Thanks for the great time and bringing us to a new place.

cameraA Church along the way... Interesting!
cameraSome time was painting here huh?

I found it! 14 Jun 2003    Logos on Logs  ( Difficulty: 2    Terrain: 2.5 )

ACK!!!!...not the kind of Logo a Navicacher would like...just kidding.

The cache idea and placemtn was great. This was a true fun cache to do and I can see much time was spent in the whole adventure. I can't thank you enough for bringing us to this great little place.

I came here with Caron and had a ball. We signed the log book and snapped a picture of ourselves. I took the "Wheres George" bill and left a Navicache T-shirt sealed in a zip-loc bag.

Thanks again for the great time!

Note 04 Jun 2003    2003 New York Area Cachers Picnic!  ( Difficulty: 1    Terrain: 1 )

okay... I have permit in hand for the shelter. I am looking forward to seeing everyone this weekend. Please make sure that if you can bring something that you log in and let us know so that others don't bring doubles.

Note 21 May 2003    Escape  ( Difficulty: 2.5    Terrain: 2 )

I went out after work today and replaced a brand new log book in the cache container. I also took the time to restock some new items inside as well.

PLEASE, be sure to try and trade fair.

Cache is in great shape.

Note 20 May 2003    Escape  ( Difficulty: 2.5    Terrain: 2 )

The Cache camera has been removed by Gary so that the pictures could be developed. Your log reports and feedback are still important so please keep them coming.

I will try to get back out there and place another camera in the cache in the next couple of days.

Note 18 May 2003    The Treasure Of Blackbeard  ( Difficulty: 2.5    Terrain: 1.5 )

I'll make a trip out and check on the condition of this cache to see if it is still intact.

Once I know the fact I will post it here.

Stay Tuned!!

Note 16 May 2003    Escape  ( Difficulty: 2.5    Terrain: 2 )

Actually Thunder was the first to find this cache using a GPSR. I did it in a manner all it's own.

Gary and I had been talking on the cell phone while getting this cache in the works for public display.
Being a new cacher and using a format and datum unlike what us "Geocachers" use made this quite the adventure for me.

Gary had to hold my hand on the cell phone and give me turn for turn directions. Once to the cache I simply used my own GPS reading and read them back to him so they could be submitted.

So, me knowing of this cache before it went public does not count (darn-it)
But I was glad and also had a ball running around in the down pour of rain looking for that box!

Very beautiful area all around, and depending on the time of year or week you go for this cache you can really grab some nice pictures. Try a search on the web for this spot and you will find it is filled with great things like raptor clubs and spotters.

While walking into the cache area I kicked up a very large deer which was laying down trying it's best to keep dry under a limb. This is what aimed me in the right direction.
Bring the camera, bring the family and and toss on some old shoe's and say "To heck" with the rain and water.
this cache is great fun, a good walk and a nice way to start the day.

The picture I included with this is just a sample of some of the area. Not a cache give away so it is safe to look.
Congrats to those that have already found this cache, and to those that will!

cameraTold you this area was pretty.

Note 04 May 2003    Where am I ?  ( Difficulty: 1    Terrain: 1.5 )

This cache is in transit...please do not go after it until the cache owner has updated the page again, thank you.

I found it! 03 May 2003    Lupin's Treasure  ( Difficulty: 2    Terrain: 1.5 )

What a busy day this cache had today.

I took the family out for the first cache of the spring year (and glad I did)

This turned out to be quite fun just watching my daughter Morgan zipping back and forth looking for the clues and waypoints.

Beautiful area I didn't know had an entry point.

As a kid I used to boat down the waterway past here but never thought twice about the park or even if it was one.

The cache was in great shape and I think we were number 12 on the camera.

When you get the film developed let me know and I will add the shots to the site.

The pix I am including with this log report are safe to look at. One is of Morgan signing the log book but I made her take the cache and book well away from the cache area as to not give away the location.

Thanks for the great fun and please keep up the good cache ideas.

BTW...watch for Ivy starting to grow in the area.

cameraNow if only this gave coordinates as well.

Note 26 Apr 2003    The Shining Path  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

I went out today to take a walk and decided it was a good time to check in on this cache. It's still there and in great shape. I also added several other items to the container.

The coordinates are very accurate .

Note 21 Apr 2003    Hamlin Name It & Claim It  ( Difficulty: 1.5    Terrain: 1.5 )

I will take a look at the cache location tomorrow or the day after. Once I confirm that the cache is or is not there I will repost here to let everyone know.

In any case even if it's gone I will try to replace it with another.

Note 13 Mar 2003    2003 New York Area Cachers Picnic!  ( Difficulty: 1    Terrain: 1 )

I found it! 20 Oct 2002    Your boots were made for cachin'  ( Difficulty: 2.5    Terrain: 2 )

I came with Caron and Eldorado to find this cache in the morning. I had thought that we would be the first to get to it but it looks like the early bird got the worm.

Great job in setting this one up on the cache page. The area of the cache was also very interesting. We all had a good time with the morning walk and hunt. Thanks for all the work you put into the cache and for the fun adventure.

Signed the log book and traded George Dollars.

I found it! 20 Oct 2002    Tree with a View  ( Difficulty: 2    Terrain: 2.5 )

I came with Caron and Eldorado to hunt for this Micro Cache. Nice walk and interesting area once you figure out where you need to park.

Very scenic indeed!

I would like to say I was the one that actually made the find but Eldorado spotted it quickly as I sat there scratching my head.

We all signed the micro log book and I also left a George Bill in the container.

Thanks for the fun!

Note 03 Oct 2002    Letchworth Fall Cachers' Gathering  ( Difficulty: 1    Terrain: 1 )

I found it! 28 Sept 2002    Watership Down  ( Difficulty: 1    Terrain: 1 )

I found this cache around 1pm today thinking I would get a good jump on being first...boy was I wrong.

Great job placing this cache and I really like the idea behind it. I too have been through these trails several times but have yet to hit the area you have placed this adventure.
I agree that this park would have some great future to it with a bit of trail work and clean-up. This might make for a nice early spring Cachers work out that I think I'll put some work on.

Picked up several bottles along the way and placed them in the cans at the parking lot. Your coordinates were dead on for the first couple of points, but I got a tad bit of flip flops getting to the good stuff, most likely a day glitch.

I left several items that the kids will love as well as took my picture with your camera and signed the log book.

This is a great hunt for the whole family!
Thanks again for a fun early afternoon.
I have included a couple pix that are safe to look at.

cameraNever knew this was here...could be a great area!
cameraBy the looks of this, it sure is old...ya think?

I found it! 25 Sept 2002    Huckleberry Island  ( Difficulty: 2.5    Terrain: 3 )

I found this cache around 2:20pm today.
What a nice and well hidden area. This would make for a great fall cache hunt as well as early spring.

I had a great time on this little adventure, but I would without a doubt make sure that you mark your location before you break off into the cache area. It could be very easy for someone or a family to get turned around in there. so make certain you have extra batteries with you as well.

Bring the camera on this one, you will like some of the formations you see along the way.
I left a nice fold open calculator as well as a "Where's George" dollar bill for tracking purposes. I took nothing in return so that the box can build a bit. I also signed the log book and replaced this neat cache back as I found it.

I noticed a very interesting tree not far away that I thought was out of place for the area. I have included a pix of the tree for you to see.

Thanks again for the hunt, and I would say others will like this as well.

Not sure just how many, but I will be giving away at least one GPSR from Magellan via drawing for those that show up. There will be no charge just like before and I am certain you will like what it is!

I found it! 13 Sept 2002    Women of Courage  ( Difficulty: 1    Terrain: 1 )

I spent quite a bit of time doing this cache as it took me to several places in which I was able to learn much along the way.
I had to sign a form at the door in order to take pictures inside once they found out I wanted to use them for a website report. If you are interested in reading up on Susan B. Anthony then you will want to check out <a href="http://www.susanbanthonyhouse.org/">The Susan B. Anthony Website</a> which will provide you with a full history of her as well as an online tour of each room within the house. If you are visiting the Rochester, NY area I would say this would be a great start on a nice scenic quest. The coordinates of the actual house are N43*09.185 W77*37.665.

I also decided to take a trip to Mount Hope Cemetery which is only a matter of a couple miles from her house, this is where her grave can be found. The coordinates for that gravesite are N43*08.079 W77*36.937 .

This is a picture of <a href="http://www.navicache.com/forumpics/anthoneygrave1.JPG"><b>Susan B. Anthony's Grave</a>, and this one is a picture of <a href="http://www.navicache.com/forumpics/anthoneygraves2.JPG">Susan's and Sisters Grave</a> I believe.

In the same plot I was also able to find this <a href="http://www.navicache.com/forumpics/anthoneyfamily1.JPG">Anthony Family Grave Marker.</a> But not sure what relationship there is with it.

I have posted with this report a couple pictures showing the sites with the GPS unit in tow.

For a nice outside view of her house be sure to check this link <a href="http://www.navicache.com/forumpics/anthoneyhouse1.JPG">Anthony House.</a>

Looking forward to meeting everyone agin before the end of the year. Sounds like quite a bit of fun heading our way!

Good chance for me to catch up on some caching I have missed and blundered in those parts also.

I found it! 07 Sept 2002    Rocky Adventure by The Wheelygood Team  ( Difficulty: 4    Terrain: 2.5 )

Gave it another go this afternoon and glad that I did. Very nice cache and one of the better ones I have gone on thus far. Doing my best to log this without giving anything away so I'll leave it at that. I can see much time went into your placement and I look forward to more of these adventures. thanks for the great time!

I couldn 02 Sept 2002    Rocky Adventure by The Wheelygood Team  ( Difficulty: 4    Terrain: 2.5 )

I thought for sure that after seeing the other log or two from Caron and Rippie that I would walk away with a grin on my face after this adventure. But it did end up getting the best of us (Linda, Morgan and me)

We looked for a great deal of time but just could not seem to locate the actual cache. The area was quite beautiful with the water and scenic scapes, but we also noticed quite a bit of cans in the area that would make someone a good chunk of change.

I'll have to keep an eye on this cache and see if others have more luck that I did.
I have submitted a couple pix with this log report that are safe to look at.

Sorry I had to wait until the last second to make a follow-up post, but I was unsure as to what time I would be able to get there. I have a (hopefully fast) business run I have to do for work and plan on getting there quickly afterwards if all goes well.

If for some reason I get backlogged please forgive me and save me a dog or two! =)

Note 09 Jul 2002    Syracuse Geocachers Picnic  ( Difficulty: 1    Terrain: 1 )

Looking forward to seeing many of the faces that were at the Rochester, NY picnic.

I'll think about what to bring along and repost once I have an idea. This sounds like a great way to get a motivated chat going on ways to bring NY area Geocachers together as a group. Doesn't hurt at all that there are tons of caches in Syracuse that I have not gone after.

Note 04 Jul 2002    Paddle Back  ( Difficulty: 2    Terrain: 5 )

Perfect day for Geocaching and what better way to spend it than to go after one of the Gimpsters. We (Morgan,Linda,Debbie,Glen and Caron and I) all headed out in the morning to see if we could bag this one. A great job of placing it and tons of fun was had by us all!

We were number two in the log book as Rippie beat us to the cache first, but while we were signing in another group of cachers were just coming around the bend. Thanks for a great time.

I have included a couple pix with this log that dont give away the cache!

The whole family headed out today to grab this and Gimpys "Paddle Back" cache. Nice area and great hiding spot! I signed the logbook and took nothing . I have included a couple pix that do not give away area. One is of Morgan and the stamp pad paper.

thanks for a great time!

I couldn 29 Jun 2002    Bullock's Woods  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 2.5 )

Came with Caron on this very warm day to give this cache a go but were unable to find the critter even after about 1.5 hours of searching.

We located the area and trailway with not too much trouble, and even managed to spook up a few deer in the travels on foot. But once we were in the cache area and put our searching skills to work we came up empty even after fanning out 80 feet from ground zero in a search pattern. The walk and scenic value was nice along the waterway, and even the few skeeters we crossed we not enough to ruin the trek in and out of Bullock Woods. I will wait to see if any others are able to find this one and if so I will give it another shot!

I couldn't resist looking for this cache when someone e-mailed me the coordinates saying there was a new one in the area. I have been to this area before looking for another cache, so being as scenic as it can be I decided to give it a late go.
The coordinates I used at the time were about 125 feet of from where the cache was located, but I can see that on the cache page submission that they have been corrected.
Very tough area for sat reception at times so this was understandable.
The hunt was fun and well worth the trip, if any of you are thinking about giving this one a shot, be sure not to pass it up.
I took a picture of myself on your single use camera and signed your log book... by the way, it was a bit late in the evening when I came after this by myself and I wasn't expecting to hear anyone in the box! "Yeahhh Bayybe"

You did a great job placing this cache and I enjoyed the whole adventure. Thanks again for a great time.
Wa-Hoo! I was first!

Pictures included with this report do not give away cache location and are safe to look at.

Our very fine parks and recreation people in monroe county have sent me a letter along with my check for payment of pavilion within the seneca park for our picnic.

I was told they made a foul up and had already taken a reservation for the large pavilion before I had requested it. I told them I would take the other one but it also has since been booked for that date.
Thus I will have to change locations for our picnic for June 1st.

All 8 of the pavilions at Durand park are empty and available for that date. I will have to make a fast dash and arrange things by tomorrow so as to not give everyone a late notice. I will change this page and coordinates as soon as a location is set and locked again. If anyone wishes to tone up with another idea it will have to be quick.

Note 25 May 2002    Houdini  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 2.5 )

Cache has been confirmed still in place and in great condition. To the last poser... you are correct with the sign you have and the coordinates you sent me were also correct. Maybe the reception of the area has flipped you a bit... try again?

I found it! 22 May 2002    THE HAIR SALON CACHE  ( Difficulty: 1    Terrain: 1 )

I was over at the park checking out to be sure things were still clean and ready to go for our June First 2002 Geocachers picnic when I realized that a Cache was popping up on my GPSR map screen. I took a closer look and this was it!

I couldn't just pass on such a closeby cache so off I went!
Your coordinates were very good and you did a great job placing this cache. I sat there a while signing the log book and traded George Bills, then with all the contents inside I was able to do my nails and curl my hair.

I had a good time on this mini adventure and I am sure it will be a good one to find when the cachers come for the picnic.

Thanks for the fun!

I'm first! Wahh-hooo!!

Very nice Mutil point cache to start my morning. I had a good time looking for this right up to the point I stepped in the dog doo!

Cache was in great shape and well placed. You did a very nice job with this one and I look forward to more.
this park though well hidden is also a great place to bring the kids or have a picnic. I swapped George Bills and signed the Log book. The contents of the cache were interesting indeed!
Thanks for all the fun and for getting me outdoors on such a great day!

List of things being brought so far and by whom...

Quinn - Hots, Burgers and Grill if needed.

The Hiker - Mac Salad and some chips.

Para2medix - Jalapeno mustard and mac salad.

Kite Wizard - Soda ( and beer is welcome)

Fourpack - Chips and other Goodies.

George W - Mystery Dish

DXChallenged - Bringing a dish too!.

Dekaner - Charcoal and paper plates.

Rippie - Beer, pop and some chips.

Roadkill - umm... Roadkill.

Caron- Buns and mac salad

This is a list of the things people said they could bring, it is not important that everyone bring something but more-so important that you have a good time!
If anyone wants to bring a potato salad or cold cuts or anything else they can think of then by all means feel free. Seems that we have the mac salad covered pretty good! =)

Based on the number of people that responded on both sites as well as e-mails I would say there will be roughly about 40 people and maybe more as this is based on cachers and kids.

So that you all know, there will be a news reporter doing a story on this for the Rochester D & C paper also.
So please feel free to bring what you want, and if you have ideas that I missed then just post them here. I am looking forward to seeing you all!

As for the motor home, I know you cant keep it over night in the park but you should have no problem bringing it. I'll have to look around and see where you can park afterwards but I think we can come up with something.

I will also be hiding a brand new Magellan GPSR to be given away at the picnic.

Note 21 May 2002    ROCHESTER AND AREA CACHERS GET-TOGETHER!  ( Difficulty: 1    Terrain: 1 )

Just to keep you all updated on what is going on with the picnic... I was e-mailed by "Gary Falleson" who is a reporter with the Rochester D and C Newspaper and he intends on doing a story to combine two out-ings the day of our picnic.

The first will be about our picnic and Geocaching and the second will be about a orienteering canoe combo at Bay creek paddle on empire Blvd.

He is also looking for caches near Bay creek so pointed him in "Kayakers" direction as he also works there.

This should make for a very nice weekend story.

I found it! 19 May 2002    Issaquah's Try'n Try Again  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 4 )

Live and learn... at first I wasn't going to give this cache a shot right away as I didn't think it would be that fun to do...boy was I wrong!
this turned out to be one of the better caches I have done in quite some time. I enjoyed just about every step of the way!

Where we parked we passed several vehicles unloading and loading mountain bikes to use on the trails, I gues this is the place to be for "Extreme Biking". The trails were easy to navigate with much to see no matter which one you took. We came across an old concrete foundation that I am not certain what it used to be, it also had a long rusty pipe crossing at both sides that seemed to head towards the bay area.
I am glad I brought my camera along on this one as scenic this cache was, I only feel bad that the good ones I can't post here because they may give away the location.
The cache container was in great shape when we found it so we signed the log book (first ones here) and left a couple trinkets for the next cachers, we also left a couple "Wheres George" bills for tracking purposes.

It would be nice to see many more of this type of cache pop up... for those of you only reading this cache page and not going after it, you are missing a fun one!

The best part was on the way out when Caron opened a bottle of soda in my truck that blew up in her lap ROTFL!!

I have included 2 pix with this report that do not give away cache location at all.
thanks for the great time and I look forward to more!

OK...so far we have it that I will be bringing the burgers and hots and grill...Kite Wizard said he would jump on the soda and the fourpack will grab the chips and goodies.

anyone up for doing the salad thingy or perhaps lobsters?

Roadkill is bringing anything he finds on the side of the road on the way in.

Note 13 May 2002    ROCHESTER AND AREA CACHERS GET-TOGETHER!  ( Difficulty: 1    Terrain: 1 )

I will bring the hots and burgers as well as do the cooking (sigh)

do I have any takers on the Soda, salads, chips, etc?

post here what you can bring so we can plan. Paper bagging it is welcome also!

I found it! 11 May 2002    Winged Things  ( Difficulty: 2    Terrain: 2 )

On a nice day as today was I got a break between jobs to go out and find this cache.

Waypoint one was just as you mentioned, the wind was there and the chimes good be heard in the distance.
A great way to keep a person in someones thoughts.

At waypoint two I never knew this portion of the park existed. I have been here several times with my daughter to play on the play ground up front but did not know the trails were here as well. what a nice area!

Seems like this cache was popular today as I just missed the "Fourpack" from what the log book said, and after I was on my way back to the truchk I bumped into a great looking family that goes by the name "Hilton Family"
We chatted for a few but I could see the youngsters wanted to get on the way to the cache so we went our seperate ways.
The cache container is in great shape and the items were very nice indeed. I had nothing to trade as I was working, but did leave a couple of "George Bills" shaped like planes to keep in the line of "Winged things"
I took a pix of self with your camera and placed the cache back as I found it.

You did a great job on this cache and I can't thank you enough for the time you invested in placing it just so that others could enjoy the fun and share a thought or two.

Thank you!

Found this one with Caron...she has a good eye for things that stand out and stare at ya.

I can't believe the size of the cache container, that was great! I could have parked a buick inside the box.
We went after this cache on the spur of the moment so I had nothing to trade thus didnt take anything except for the George bill I was able to trade with.

Cache is in great condition and vry weather proof. filled with lots of interesting items as well!
We signed the log book and replaced the cache as we found it.
Great job guys! lots of fun!

I found it! 05 May 2002    BIG T'S CACHE  ( Difficulty: 3.5    Terrain: 3.5 )

Found this cache with Caron as we made a morning of Geocaching. Very nice place to hide a cache and a nice waterfall nearby that would make a great addition to this or any park with a bit of cleanup. I think if they were to cut the scouts loose for a day here the park would really make a great place to visit.

Traded George Bills and signed the log book as well as took some pix added with this report. Pix are fine to look at as they do not give away the cache location.
Thanks for a great time and for getting us outdoors on such a great day.

I found it! 04 May 2002    Goin' Fishin' Cache  ( Difficulty: 2.5    Terrain: 2.5 )

Such a great day outside with the sun shining and weather perfect that we decided to stop and pick up a fishing permit foe me and some worms for the crew. Dragged the poles to the area next to the bridge not far from the cache and caught a few small perch and kicked back a bit in the sun. Caron went on her own to locate the cache first while I sat with wife and Morgan fishing, when she got back I took my turn in finding the container. I signed the logbook and traded items (Rapala Lure for small fish kit) and also traded George bills. Cache was in a great spot and a job well done.
I am submitting a couple of pictures with this log that are safe to look at and none give away the cache location. One shows my gps reading 3 feet while 3 feet from the cache, the other is of Morgan and me with her first fish of the year.
Thanks for getting us outdoors today!

I took my daughter Morgan and her two cousins (Brandon and Michael) along for this hunt, it was Brandon and Mike's first!

I gave them each a gps to use so that nobody felt left out, let me tell you though...you do not!!! want to get in the way of three young kids on a treasure hunt.
Cache was placed in a great spot and we had an awsome time finding it, I think all the kids are hooked and look forward to going after many more. The day was perfect and there were quite a few people around walking the trails and taking in the scenes. Left quite a few carabeners and swapped out George bills.
Watch that snake!!!

The picture with this log is not of this cache but of another near by that we went after as well.
Thanks for the great time!

I couldn 21 Apr 2002    the bass cache  ( Difficulty: 2    Terrain: 2 )

It's the easy ones that seem to be beating my butt lately. Looked for this one with Wife and Daughter but the listed coordinates took us to a paved path near the football goal posts. Thinking and knowing that coordinates can sometimes be off a tad we looked around the wooded lot next to the path for about 40 minutes but came up empty. Going by last posters comments I was also looking for anything that would give another coordinate but still nodda...maybe some other time!

Note 21 Apr 2002    Dog Chow Cache  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 2.5 )

Snif-snif...I would have liked to of logged this as a find but the "Boozer" crew with "Nomad" found it while we were there looking. They were kind enough to allow us to search like fools before they picked up the cache.
Not a bad day at all to go geocaching and this one was well placed. Saw tons of gold balls in the area as well as a wooden driver that I am sure a golfer having a bad day pitched there. We took picutres of each others group before placing the cache back as found.

Very interesting little park! We left a "Carabener" and a couple "George Bills" and took nothing.
thanks for the fun !

was gonna try for this cache earlier in the year but with the ice and snow we waited until today. took Caron and daughter Morgan on this adventure and a adventure it was!
Parked at the coordinates you posted and walked the route as far as we could to get us close to the cache site. You ever have one of those days when you come to a fork in the trail and choose the wrong trail? well, we did that!

Plenty of hiking and up's and down's to and from the cache, but a great time it was (though Morgan looked tired)
Cache was well placed and is in great shape, we signed the log book and took a picture of us with the cache camera.
Tons of interesting logs within to read.

On the way out we bumped into the home owner at the parking coordinates and he mentioned that he got poison Ivy while walking one of the paths back there so keep an eye out! I also asked him about cutting through the property seeing as how he is so close to the path and he just smiled and said no problem at all.
I have included a pix or two with this report that does not give away the cache location, we took it away from it's hiding spot to shoot the pix before we replaced it.
thanks for the great time Lighthouse, I look forward to more!

I found it! 20 Apr 2002    The Troll's Treasure  ( Difficulty: 2.5    Terrain: 4.5 )

Caron was correct...this cache works better when you have a team trying it together.

Very fun hunt and in a great location, neat little idea you had there!

We came in from a different location than I think you did when you placed it, but none the less it's not the route, it's the find that racks the points.
If you take your time.

I took several pictures of the area and have included only a couple here that were taken "NOT" showing the cache spot or anything that would give away the adventure.

I left a "wheres George" dollar and a "Carabener" and took that neat little penny in the display package.

We both signed the log book and placed the cache back as we found it. Your coordinates were dead on and could not have been better.
Thanks for the great time and I see that Map330 is doing it's job!
You and I will have to team up and place a doozy of a cache soon!

You guys not only are some of the newest members that Navicache has, but you sure continue to do a great job of keeping us busy. Nice cache placement in a nice spot to bring the family for a bike ride or walk.
Caron and I did this one right after the troll cache placed by Hinge Thunder, both made for a top notch day.

I left a couple Singles, signed the log book and took the tire dressing (wife will love that for her Buick)
We replaced the cache as we found it and headed back to the truck where we saw two cats doing things that little kids should not know of... GET A ROOM!

Thanks for the fun!

I found it! 20 Apr 2002    sunny day cache  ( Difficulty: 4    Terrain: 4 )

Went after this cache around 7:15PM. Weather was very nice with just a slight chill in the air.
Linda (Wife) and Morgan (Daughter) both came along for the fun, thank god as it was Morgan who found the cache. She tore through the area like a bird dog.
Coordinates were very good and the area the cache was placed made it quite the adventure in finding.
Morgan swapped out the pocket knife for a carabener.

Caches like this are fun to do this time of year but sure may get tougher when summer and full bloom tree's come into play. thanks for the great time and we all enjoyed it.

Picture is of Morgan and me back at the parking coordinates after the hunt.

I found it! 19 Apr 2002    CARON S CACHE  ( Difficulty: 1    Terrain: 1 )

Found this cache around 7:45PM on a very nice evening with the weather perfect for caching. No bugs, no people!

I know how far it is both ways from the cache, so being as lazy as I am I decided to take the Mountain bike along with me for the quick trek!

Beautiful area with some very nice views of White Geese just North of the small bridge.
Coordinates were perfect and little searching was required to find the container. I took my picture with the "Single use camera" in the cache, and also signed the logbook.
I took nothing but traded "Wheres George" bills and left a couple extra's, I also left a new Carabener for the next cacher.
Included with this report is some pix I took that do not give away the cache location.

This is a hunt the whole family will love and if you ride bikes this is an awsome area to do so!

I found it! 14 Apr 2002    the erie cache  ( Difficulty: 3.5    Terrain: 3.5 )

Very tough to sleep nights knowing that a cache got away from you the first time. Now that the coordinates have been corrected I was able to find the cache with about 5 minutes of searching.

I was in this area today while being on call for work so I just couldn't resist just driving past it. A very light rain was coming down and still quite a few mountain bikers were on the trail close by. I wasn't expecting to go Geocaching today because of the weather and work so I didn't have anything with me to trade, I did however have a "Wheres George" dollar with me so I left it in the cache for another to find and log, other than that I took nothing and left nothing. Cache is in great condition and has some neat stuff within it.
Great job of placing this one!
I have enclosed a picture of me and the cache lid together...don't worry, it is away from the cache area and gives away nothing.

I did find out that on a warm day like today you should not wear fleece pull-overs and walk fast...phew was I burning up!

Thanks for the fun!

Great cache! had a blast looking for this one as I have never been to this area before. Came here from Rochester, NY. on business in Allentown PA and figured I would try to grab some cache points while in the area. I see that Magpie was hot on my heels today, glad I was able to beat him to this one but it would have been great to of tagged up with him to find it togther. Like Mag said...coordinates were dead on, my gpsr was reading 6-7 feet at the cache, those are great numbers anyday.

I left several "Wheres George" bill for tracking purposes and hehehe...took Magpie's "Ronstadt" Cd he wanted. I signed the log book and took the last picture of the camera that was inside the cache. If you deicde to have those developed and want them added to the Navicache.com website's picture section let me know and I will add them here.

I took several pictures of the area that I will include with this report as well as e-mail to the cache owner.
Very neat area indeed, spent some time looking about after the find. This area looks cool when you use the cache pages "lostoutdoors" link.
Thanks for a great time on a warm day. I hope to see more in the future.

I found it! 10 Apr 2002    sir rotten ronnie cache  ( Difficulty: 3.5    Terrain: 4.5 )

Wa-hoo! This was a great cache to get to. Nice area and very fun to find. Your coordinates on this cache were dead on with my GPSR showing 5 feet at the cache site, well done!
What made this even better was that stupid me left the truck and once we got to the cache my GPSR gave me a "Low Battery Warning" telling me I was about to become $&#% out of luck, after opening the cache container I was thrilled to see a 2-pack of new batteries...Thank God!
We left several items and also I left a few "Wheres George" dollars for tracking to replace the one I took from the cache box.
Thanks for all the fun on a nice after work adventure.

I couldn 10 Apr 2002    the erie cache  ( Difficulty: 3.5    Terrain: 3.5 )

We got foiled on this one. Using two GPSR's we were able to get down to ground zero but after looking for 30 minutes we had no luck. I intend on contacting the cache owner and going back out to see if maybe I was off a bit in my searching. None the less this was a nice area to walk along, we also managed to bag another cache not far from this location.

I found it! 30 Mar 2002    Don Quixote`s Cache  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 4.5 )

Couldn't have asked for a much better day to go out caching. Even though I am on call for work I just had to go after this one. You would never think that such very interesting trails can be in an area like this. The city really let the ball drop when they passed on fixing this area as well as others along this section. I came here with Caron and we started above and walked the winding trail taking pictures the whole way. I found the waterfall in front of the cave very neat and have included a pix with this report of that view I had.
It took some time locating the cache due to sat reception but after finding myself in the wrong spot it was caron who waved it in front of my nose. Signed the logbook and took nothing more than a smile. Caron left a few George Bills for the next cacher to log.

Way to go and thanks for all the time you invest in placing caches for people to find.
oh...I got the other part too! =)

I found it! 30 Mar 2002    Durand Discovery 1  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

Very nice day to look for a new cache, and this one was nice on it's own. Teamed up with Caron and Gimpy on a late afternoon hunt to see if we could beat the others to this hunt. The coordinates were fun to figure out and the area was beautiful to be looking around in. Come later in the spring or early summer this entire location will be filled with plant life that would make for some nice camera shots.
Gimpy was first to locate cache from our team gathering.
I left a couple of Carabeners and signed the log book. Caron left a couple of "wheres George" bills for tracking purposes.
We found just a few beer bottles and a can not far from the cache so we all packed out what was there. Cache spot is nice and clean now.
Thanks for the fun and I am glad to see a new cache placer in our area.
I have included two pix with this log. One is of Gimpy and the other is of a near by tagged tree....you figure which is which.

I am sure I was in the right location but with the snow cover could not get an exact spot to search. Will without a doubt come back when a bit greener to give this one another go. Nice pathway and scenic over looks though...bring a camera!

Note 24 Mar 2002    Creeks Edge Cache!  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

I checkon on the cache today to see how it has been doing.
It's been over a year since my last trip to this spot. I was able to locate the cache with little trouble due to all the growth is down from the winter. I can see though how it could be tough come summer to locate.

I removed the single use camera from the cache container and will add the pix on the website once developed. I also replenished the cache with a few "Wheres George" bills for tracking purposes.
I have added a few pix with this post to show the cache area at this time of year.

Looks like this 1 /1 rated cache got the best of me after 1.25 hours of looking around. I brought two GPSR's to make sure my reading was accurate but still nothing. I broke out the decrypted clue on scene and thought I was where I should have been but still nothing.
Beautiful area none the less and I enjoyed driving around the back roads to see what else was near by. Trails at the nature center go a long ways and cover some very scenic spots that a camera comes in handy.
It was around 1:30 when I was here and I felt like I was the only person on the planet because not once did I see or hear anyone else the whole day.
Beach was great! and I ended up taking a few very neat looking rocks back home for a future cache.
I came in the long way by using the nature trail on the other side, after I left I decided to drive around where you had parked when placing this, I looked one more time but still nodda.
No regrets! A great time had by me still.
i have included some pix with this of the area near by, no give-aways and if they are I have no clue as to why! LOL.

Very nice scenic view with the falls running very fast. I took several pix some of which I will tag onto this report (none give away cache location).
I left a "Wheres George" dollar for future logging and I took the Kermit frog rubber statue.
Great job of finding a cool place to hide a cache in the city.
I look forward to more of these.

I found it! 16 Mar 2002    Lower Falls And The Old Glen House cache  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

As Caron stated, we found this cache!, though not the first or the second but yes, the third to make a log in the book.
Very nice area with some great views of the falls.I do see however the reason for the warning about bringing kids. If it rains it might even be tough for the adults for a short span. The cache however was a fun one to give a go. We loved the location you had it placed and think you picked a great spot. We could see fishermen farther down the river going after the salmon I assume.
This would be a nice spot for the city to get involved with as far as debris clean-up and safety results. I think if you sent in a boyscout unit here they would have the place looking top shelf in a week.
We signed the logbook and softball and left some wheres George Bills as well as an unopened large bag of hard candy.
Thanks for the great time and look forward to more!

I found it! 16 Mar 2002    McCrackenville Cache  ( Difficulty: 1.5    Terrain: 1.5 )

Found this Cache with Caron. Thought we would be the first to find it though when opening the logbook noticed that "Thunder" beat us to it.Coordinates were dead on and cache was well placed. Very beautiful area with some of the best views going. If you visit this cache you had best bring the camera, the falls here provide some awsome pix and it would be a shame to miss out on them.
Very interesting history about this area that I never knew about. The pictures included really make you think of what once was.
We bumped into "Lowerfalls" who was on his way in to his cache to double check his coordinates. very nice Gentleman indeed that was able to give us the full scoop on the area we were in.
This cache is safe for the family but not a night cache for sure. Many people out and about walking dogs and heading to catch some fish.
Thanks for the fun time and I look forward to more in the future!
Left a "wheres George" bill for tracking purposes.

I found it! 09 Mar 2002    I Heard it on the Grapevine  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

Found this one with Caron just behind by a few hours of "Rippie" and GPSFool.
Very nice walk and the weather could not have been better. I found a shoe hanging from a branch that I believe belongs to a child of another cacher from the other cache near by. i will contact him to let him know I have it.
I left a couple George bills and took nothing. Cache was very nice indeed.
Thank you for all the fun!!

I found it! 09 Mar 2002    Rear View Mirror Cache  ( Difficulty: 4    Terrain: 4.5 )

Found this cache with Caron. while looking we bumped into quite a few nice fellows out caching as well.
"Boozer" along with his two brothers and also "Lowerfalls"
must have decided the weather was too good to take a pass on and came out for the adventure also.
Nice scenic location but boy what a trek!
I won't give anything away on this cache but wear some good grip boots.

I placed the M&M (Orange) hitch hiker dude in this cache with his travel log book. If the next cacher takes him please log his travels in the Navicache forums.
We signed the logbook and placed the cache as found.
Boozer and his gang were a great bunch to bump into, I am glad I got the chance to meet them all.

Note 09 Mar 2002    PEZ Cache  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 4.5 )

Like Caron said. Boozer and his Brothers found this nice cache while we were finishing up the other, we could see the location so it was only right that we log a comment and not a "Find" Great spot though and very nice cache. We all signed the logbook and softball then sat down for a chat at the cache site. Lowerfalls was also along for the hike. great to have met all of these people. A great group!

I have included pix of Caron in red jacket and also of Boozer and his brothers during the search.
No cache clues here so safe to look at.

I found it! 04 Mar 2002    ANDREA'S CHARM  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

I wasn't sure I would have enough time to slip in a cache while out of town on business, but what the heck! you only live once right?
I am from Rochester, NY. and drove down via route 81 and then back tracked across RT.17 to hit this one on the way home. Great area with tons of scenic advantages. It seemed as though I had the whole place to myself which was great!
I only had my GPSr with me on this hunt and no print out, I could have used one though as I came in from above and made things tougher than they needed to be. What a fantastic park, i'll have to remember this one next time I am out this way.
I also just noticed that a previous cacher psoted they left a small cache on the way out, wish I had seen that so I could have given it a go as well. I had a great time and Thank you very much for making my day a bit brighter. Took nothing because I had nothing with me to give.
I will submit pictures with this of an area away from the cache site so they are safe to look at.
thanks again!

I found it! 03 Mar 2002    Cracker-Barrel Keepsake  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

I woke up early and found this cache listed, figured it was about time I made a run at being first.
Nice long walk but well worth it as there was much to see along the way. The water front was beautiful and I also passed a waterfall to the right of me not far from the cache area. Weather was extremely windy and cold as a result. Found this cache just after the noon hour and there was nobody on any of the trails which made it a nice hike.
Your coordinates were dead on with me showing 6 ft. at the cache site. I signed your log book and took The wizard statue and left the red M&M Dude hitch hiker which has his own log book that travels with him. Inside the log book is a Where's George bill for tracking purposes, please keep it with the Log.
after sealing the cache back up and placing it as I found it I headed back. Noticed a good size cliff near the water front...made me wish the Mother-In-Law was with me! :)

Thanks for the great time! I have added pictures to this log.

I found it! 23 Feb 2002    Discombobulated Universe (retired)  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 1.5 )

Found this cache with Mother-In-Law Caron. One of the very best parks I have been in to date, can't believe that such an area is around and so close. Many very nice trails to break away on as well as tons of things to see and do.
I am glad that this cache has opened my eyes to a place I will return to again.
The cache was well placed and a job was well done. I signed the logbook and left a couple of "Where's George Dollars" for future tracking. We replaced the cache as found and liked the area so much that Caron placed one of her own. Thanks again for all the fun!
By the way, when we went after the Chameleon Cache right after this one, we noticed that you (Lighthouserocket) had signed the logbook no more than a couple hours before us.

I found it! 10 Feb 2002    Watch out for Private Property!  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

I found this cache today with help from two other Geocachers I met at the main entrance to the park. Ryan (Lighthouserocket) and another fellow pitched in to make this a team cache adventure. I am certain I would not have found it without the help of both of them. The cache was in great condition and well placed. My coordinate readings at the cache site were a bit off but in the area I can understand why. Pretty slick area in the snow so watch your step!
I left (2) wheres george Bills for tracking purposes and took nothing but some pictures I will add with this report.
In our everyday lives people pull up to stop lights and don't think twice about the person in the car next to them. I found that Geocaching can take a perfect stranger one second and turn him/her into a friend the next second.
Thanks for all the help guys and Thank you for a fun Cache.

I found it! 03 Feb 2002    Down in the Dumps  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

Caron was the first to find in our adventure to the cache. I must say also that you did a great job in placing this cache. The weather was quite chilly and a good wind was blowing when we headed out. Due to the rain over the previous couple of days and then the dropping temps made the snow cover up with a good sheet of ice the whole way in. We came to a good size hill at one point and I had my chance to give the Mother-in-law a good push just to watch her zip down like an olympic bob sledder, but I knew what I would face when she was able to climb back up the slope, thus I decided not to. I had a great deal of fun spite the weather and am glad I took up the adventure. we signed the logbook and I took nothing and left (2) wheres George bills for tracking purposes. Once again thanks so much for taking the time to make such a clever cache. I look forward to more of these in the future.

I found it! 06 Jan 2002    Geodecache  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 1.5 )

I went with caron on this cache as you can see from her posting above. Very nice location for placing a container. We both had a great time looking for this as the snow was not a bother at all when we went. Very quiet in the woods and you can hear a pin drop (When Caron wasn't talking)
Like Caron says... She found it first, but when you have a Mother-In-Law that takes your GPSR from you and throws it as far as she can so you can't find it before she does, these things tend to happen. We both signed the logbook and I traded a package of your Geodes for a "Wheres George" bill. Thanks for the winter fun and hope to do more like this!
I think those "Geode" thingys are pretty cool! but they sure are tough to bite into! I added a picture with this posting so you can see what they look like.
Thanks again for the fun!

I found it! 14 Dec 2001    Egyptian Hike  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

Man-O-Man! I went after this cache in complete darkness using my new Meridian Gold and a mini mag Flash light.
I got to the Cache area about 5:30PM and it was a complete downpour of rain at the time. I couldn't have gotten any more soaked if I had jumped into a pool. The main trail was the easy part until I came to the turnoff area. This was where the water was about a foot deep in areas due to the heavy rain. I looked around best I could for a shortcut into the area without having to wade my way though, but being as dark as it was I figured what the heck and just sloshed my way the remaining 500 feet to the cache. My Meridian was completely soaked and water was running off the view screen to the point I wish it came with wiper blades. I had the Mag light in my mouth and the Gold in my right hand searching the brush line for the container. I was able to find it within minutes and at the time I came to it my Meridian Gold said I was 3 feet away. This was great seeing as cover overhead was severe with the heavy rain. I was very impressed with the Golds performance and will most likely trust this as one of my better units for Caching. I quickly took your single use camera and noticed it was not a flash unit so I shined my flash light on my face and quickly took the snap shot...I am the very very wet guy that looks stupid for doing this in the dark and rain on a 39* night. I then did my best to sign your logbook without the pages getting soaked. I traded "wheres George bills and also took the hitch-hiker Item that I will relocate for another to find and track.
Even though the weather was bad and the area was very dark, I had a blast on this one! I will most likely do more at night if I have the chance. Sorry it took me so long to get to this one! Thanks for all the fun!!
I have included a picture with this log of Morgan and the Hiker I found in the Cache.

I found it! 02 Dec 2001    Hamlin Name It & Claim It  ( Difficulty: 1.5    Terrain: 1.5 )

I had a feeling this was gonna make me think some. Next time I will learn to trust caron a bit more and let her do the thinking. I decided to take my chances and made the run out west and got what I needed so I could see it with my own eyes. Without going into more detail than I should I will just say all went well and i found success in the end. I traded "Wheres george' bills and signed the logbook. some very nice Items in this cache but I didn't have anything of it's equal to trade so left it as is and replaced the Cache as i found it. Surrrre smells good in that area! Thanks for the fun Yardboy! cya in the woods!

I found it! 24 Nov 2001    Deer Crossing  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

I found this Cache around 3:30pm on this fine and warm saturday afternoon. The sun was just starting to go down while I was at the posted Coordinates. I kicked up two doe just a matter of feet from where my truck was parked.
Anyways...it's hard to believe there is so many areas within this same park. trail after trail that all lead to somewhere different. The walk was great and much to look at on the way in. I could hear shotgun blasts across the street where hunting is allowed, but it was so distant that I didn't have any worry at all.
Your coordinates were good with my GPS reading about 6 feet when I was about 10 feet from the Cache, but the funny thing was that when i sat it down it jumped up to 50 feet. But I am sure if I would have let it settle in that it would have given me the right reading. Very nice place you picked for this Cache, and the container was painted well.
I signed the logbook and traded "wheres George" dollars and placed the cache as it was found.
I thank you for the great time on a very nice late november day.
As you can see, Caron decided not to wait for me and left me in the dust to grab first dibs on this Cache. Next time I will leave her in the woods and take her batteries out of her GPSR...that'll teach her!

I found it! 10 Nov 2001    Hawthorn  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

ACK! Still pulling whats left of a 3 inch thorn out of my @$$. Caron said it all, we got greedy and made more of this adventure than we bargained for. If you trust your eyes and your feet from the get-go you will do well with this adventure. I on the other hand had a quick moment of dumbness befall me and that was that. I nenver realized just how big this park really is until today. We found this cache around 2pm and the weather was very nice with clear sky and warm temps. We kicked up a couple doe on the way in and also a nice sized forked buck not too far from the Cache itself. My GPS that I was using (Garmin IIIPlus) showed me to be 6 feet from the Cache when I had it sitting on top of the container, so I would say your coordinates were dead on. I left a " wheres George" bill which I am not certain if I even entered it now that I ink about it, so if you find it and it does not take on the George website please be sure to e-mail me at gqstone@rochester.rr.com and I will quickly enter it so that your report will show. I also added a very nice audio book that is three hours long. Great for those ling drives.
thanks for keeping me on my toe's today.

Note 06 Nov 2001    Genesee River Cache  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 2 )

You were correct...the coordinates that were posted were in error due to a typo when entering them. I have since made the correction and the right ones are now listed. I am very sorry for your wasted time and hope you decide to give it another go. Good luck and good hunting!

I found it! 04 Nov 2001    Issaquah On The Ave Webcam Cache  ( Difficulty: 1.5    Terrain: 1.5 )

As you can see by the picture we have attached to this post, Caron and I (Quinn) have found the spot of the Camera's view. I called my Brother (PC_Medic who lives in Virginia Beach, VA. and he was the one that locked and saved the picture. We are right on the corner and I have the IIIPlus and a digital Camera in my hands. Neat change of pace from the normal Cache hunt. Thanks for the fun!!

I found it! 04 Nov 2001    Greenway Trail Cache  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

Great job Gimpy!
Very nice area and a soft walk. I came with caron on this hunt and we ended up bumping into Yardboy while here. We signed the logbook and took some pictures of ourselves and the group and replaced the Cache as we found it. We stuck around to compare IIIPlus readings at the cache site seeing as we all had the same unit. Hunters were shooting their .22cals near by so got a bit spooky but I am certain we were safe and sound. Thanks again for keeping me busy!

And yes!!! Yardboy beat us again by minutes.

After I got home from this adventure I realized I had left my sun glasses at the cache site so I had to drive all the way back out and take the walk again for a second time...No Biggy! I figured it would also give me the chance to see if anyone has been there since my last visit.
When I got back to the cache sure enough my glasses were sitting right above it where I placed them, I put them back on and set down my keys so I could look through the cache box log book to see if anyone else has been around. After finding out that I was still the last log entry I closed the cache back up and replaced it as it was. I then walked the distance back to my truck wayyyy down the trail.
Once I got to the truck I sat my back on the back of it and went to open the door which was locked...guess where my keys are? &^$%#%%#$% all the way back at that %$#%# cache site!!!! Sooooo, once again I walked the %^$## to get to the &%#$ cache so I could get my &&$T$#% keys to get back into my ^%%#$#$ truck.

God how I love caching! =)

Note 03 Nov 2001    Issaquah On The Ave Webcam Cache  ( Difficulty: 1.5    Terrain: 1.5 )

You can resubmit your cam cache the way you had it the first time. we will be turning on HTML so that your cache will show correctly if you wish. Just give me a few to get it set.

I found it! 03 Nov 2001    Hanibals Stash  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

Found your cache around 1:10pm
Very nice area it was in. I can't believe that all the years I have lived here that I did not know of this place. Took me a little bit to get an accurate fix due to my gps doing some flip/flops, but After a few moves and turns I was able to get within feet of the actual site. I found that I was on top of it the whole time and just wasn't paying enough attention to looking around as I was the GPS itself. Great Hunt and I had a Great Time!
I signed the Log Book and took a picture of myself with your single use camera (you must have a ton of me by now) I also took the rubber ball and replaced it with a world mapping cd. I also took the one dollar bill a fellow geocacher placed in the log book and I will enter it in the wheres George website like he ask's. I replaced it with another dollar bill for someone else to log!
Thanks again Gary for all the fun!

I found it! 03 Nov 2001    Maps Maiden  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

Caron and I went out to find this cache early morning. I have a feeling Gimpy was out tipping a couple of soda's back (Beer) when he placed this one, I bases this on the contents. I zero'd right into where it was placed, but it was Caron who spotted it and made the find first. This is what I get for being lazy and not going the full distance to confirm my thoughts. Skeeters were not too mad this morning when we went. We decided to take the more scenic way to the cache site via keeping the waterway company. I signed the logbook and left a CD set of the Radio Mystery Theatre and also traded wheres George dollars. Took the rubber ducky for the tub!
Thanks for the fun again Gimpster, I owe ya lots for keeping me busy.

I found it! 03 Nov 2001    Brodies Box  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

Found this cache around 1:20 pm.
Once again I was beaten to a cache by yardboy, But I am prepared to beat him to the next one!
Beautiful park with what seems to be plenty to do for the whole family in the area. I took the long way as I needed the walk and it was a very nice day out. I had the same problem as yardboy with the flipping of the gps. But if you wait a few seconds and just do a slow cross walk it seems to find its home.

I took several digital pix with my camera and will send them to the cache owner.
I took the ball maze game and replaced it with a brand new 8mb olympus memory card for a digital camera.
I also took the wheres George dollar and replaced it with another That I found in a greece NY cache.
I took a picture with your camera (clothes on) and signed your log book.
I had a great time on this hunt!
I picked up a few cans on the way out that were near the creek and placed them in a nearby can.
Good Job!

I found it! 03 Nov 2001    Sams Surprise  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 1.5 )

Found this cache around 10:30 in the morning.
weather was very sunny and about 70 degree's.
Great walk and very scenic. I had a nice time on this one. Found the cache with no problem other than getting stuck in the rump with a thorn when I filled out the logbook.
I took a picture of myself and left 3 wheres George dollars that I ask othe cachers to take one each and log on the website. i took nothing else because stupid me left my bag of goodies in the darn car. Thanks for the fun Gimpy!

Note 01 Nov 2001    Badge Adventure cache!  ( Difficulty: 2.5    Terrain: 1.5 )

Hinge...you were correct and I am very sorry for my very stupid typo when entering the info on the site. The coordinates were typed in wrong but are now corrected. also be sure to read the text above again.

I found it! 21 Oct 2001    Blind Man's Bluff  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

Found this cache about 10:40am. Weather was very nice with Temps around 55* and a little mist of rain in the air. With all the colors coming from the tree's and the water being like glass it couldn't have gotten any better. I took well over 50 pictures of the area before and after the Cache hunt. The bluff's were outstanding to look at with a nice back drop to the scenes. Your coordinates were dead on with my Magellan 330X showing 4ft while at the cache location. I also took my Garmin map76 which showed 23ft while at cache location and this was with the Garmin external antenna plugged into it. Caron (Mother in law) was with me and she was using the Garmin IIIPlus which did well at the cache locatiuon also with a flux between 20 and 10 ft while sitting above the cache.
Very beautiful area and for those that have not spent the time and drive to go here you are missing out on a great cache hunt. We signed the logbook and left several "wheres George" dollars for future Cachers and we also took two of the lolli-pops in return. We also took our pictures with your single use camera that was in the cache. When done we closed it as we found it and left the area to look around the bluff's some more. We are from Greece, NY and this was well worth the drive out. Thanks for all the fun!

I found it! 07 Oct 2001    Gypsum Mine  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

Very nice place to hide a cache. I would have thought more people would have come for this as it seems to be one of the better ones for scenic beauty as well as the great fun.
Caron was first to locate the cache due to me looking in the wrong place. You did well on this placement. I took nothing and left two "wheres George" dollars for logging.
We signed the book and placed the cache as we found it. I thank you for the great fun!

Note 01 Oct 2001    Morgans Adventure  ( Difficulty: 1.5    Terrain: 1.5 )

I removed the camera from the cache today as it was full. Pleae continue to check the navicache.com website for those pictures to be added to the picture section.

I found it! 30 Sept 2001    Issaquah In Irondeqoit  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

I went with Caron to find this cache this early morning. The weather was perfect with the sun out and clear sky's.
The temp was around 65* and you just couldn't ask for a better day to go Geocaching. Your coordinates were dead on when I set my Garmin IIIPlus next to your cache site and let it settle in. Nice cache, nice location and a great time had by both of us. Thank you again for getting my lazy butt out of the house. Took a picture of us with your camera and signed your logbook. I left a wheres George Dollar and several "Crusty Creme" dollars for whoever wants to grab them goodies.

I found it! 30 Sept 2001    Beechwoods Mayonnaise Jar  ( Difficulty: 1.5    Terrain: 1.5 )

Found this cache with my Mother in law Caron, nice little trails in a very unlikely place. Weather was very nice this morning and like posted on your other cache we found, you couldn't ask for a better day to go Geocaching. You have done a great job placing these caches and I hope to get a couple out there this week for others to find. I left a wheres George dollar and signedd your logbook. Thanks again for the great fun.

I found it! 28 Jul 2001    Westward Ho (The Imposter wants to go)  ( Difficulty: 1.5    Terrain: 1.5 )

Well due to too many folks in the final area of the cache I decided to wait until today to finish up this adventure. Glad that I did as i am not 100 % sure I would have had enough sun light last time to figure it all out. Went with Caron today and victory was ours. Great job by the way to Yardboy for a well thought out cache. You really Lured me in. I signed the logbook and took a 1.00 george leaving a 5.00 george in it's place. I also took the sullivans cert and hitchhiker to be replaced in your other cache...if I find it! Thanks again for the great time!

I found it! 28 Jul 2001    Who Ya Gonna Call?  ( Difficulty: 1.5    Terrain: 1.5 )

Yippy! Once again the Caron and Quinn team come in first to locate this cache placed by yardboy and his math skills.
We were doing just great jumping from waypoint to waypoint without a flaw until we got to number 3, then I had to turn to the wife as I had not enough toe's and fingers.
Wonderful way to spend a quiet sunny saturday afternoon.
I had no clue that waypoint one was even there, this may come in handy someday. I left the hitch hiker Imposter there, the thing just wouldn't keep her mouth shut!
We also left the Sullivans 5.00 certificate and a George bill for logging at www.wheresgeorge.com

PLEASE! if you find this cache and want one of the sullivans certificates, please take only one per cacher or group and leave one for the next person.
We signed the logbook and replaced the cache as we found it.
Nice sheep!

I found it! 28 Jul 2001    No Exit  ( Difficulty: 1.5    Terrain: 1.5 )

Found this cache today with Caron. Nice job and great fun for both of us!
The temp in the cache was a nice 69* when we opened it after 10am. I traded a wheres george bill, signed the logbook and took a picture of us with your single use camera.
We then replaced the cache as we found it and went on our way. Mind you that this is a heavy deer area, and that many of the knocked down trails you may see are caused by white tails and not just humans. walking back to the car you could hear the buzzing!

I found it! 21 Jul 2001    Mission Possible  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 1.5 )

NOTE: This is not a find, just wanted to Inform everyone that I found out I was human! I made a couple of costly Typo's that sent Yardboy visiting strange and new People.
The Text on the Cache page has been corrected and is now in line. I am amazed however at how far Yardboy has made it through this one even though he had the wrong Info to go with . If not for this he would have been done a while ago =) I am sorry to him and the rest of you for the Mistake.
Cache on!

I found it! 15 Jul 2001    Mendon Ponds #2  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

I knew there was one of gimpys locals I missed!
Had to play catch up on some caching today. Went after this one with Brother Dave. Nice hike and great area. Plenty of room here for a cache or two.
Signed the logbook and traded wheres georges
I noticed tons of Log Entrys already in the book.
Cache was in great condition. Didnt even get bitten by the blood suckers today!
Thanks Gimp. look forward to more in the future

I found it! 10 Jul 2001    Ode to Joy II  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

Came here from Rochester, NY to do a bit of caching with Brother Dave. This was a nice one to grab hold of. Thanks for the great time and a visit to the blue water.
I signed your Log Book and took a picture of self with camera. traded nothing. Coordinates were very good.

I found it! 10 Jul 2001    Mushroomer's Delight  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

Came here from Rochester, Ny to do some caching with Brother Dave. Nice area Anton though I must say I used an Entrance other than what you mention. All I came with was GPS in hand, no maps or pix were used for this one. A great time had by both of us. We had the IIIPlus and the gps76, both showed 52 feet at cache. But process of elimination and thinking if I were you where would I hide it played a big role. I signed your logbook and took the wheres george dollar and replaced it with a wheres georeg five dollar bill from Rochester cache. Took a picture of us and replaced the cche as found. We saw a fox in the area. Saw a few more at the pool side from the last cache we were at.
Thanks again for all the fun! Hope to find more soon!

I found it! 08 Jul 2001    "A", "B", Seabreeze (2-parter)  ( Difficulty: 1.5    Terrain: 1.5 )

Found this one with Caron. Yardboy, I am glad you placed this one, it's funny how something can be in a place like this and still be so much fun to go after. I had a great time! You still almost had me there for a second. But caron slapped me in the head called me stupid and pointed me in the right direction. You seem to be good at making me scratch my head, I Intend on getting even with you very soon!

I signed your logbook and traded wheres georges, I made sure we were unseen and also took a picture of us together.
We then replaced cache in it's home and went on our merry little way. wahhhh-hooo!

I found it! 08 Jul 2001    1K Sanctuary  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

Holy $%#@! was there bugs today! I was the one running around in circles screaming my head off wishing I was dead.
Thank god for whoever placed the bug-boo in the cache, I'd kiss that person if he or she were here right now. I am sure the bugs are not bad at all when it is a bit dryer out. But what a very nice place this is to hike about. Area is well marked from within and the people who maintain this site have done a wonderful job. We were cautious of making any known sign of our visit, but we did have a few muddy footprints to give a clue to us.
You guys did a fantastic job on this one.

I took a picture and traded wheres georges. Caron added a nice cd holder.

I sprayed myself with the bug-boo as if it were cologne, stuff isnt half bad once you get past the taste!
Logbook got signed and we placed it as we found it.
I left flames ripping off my heels on the way back to car.
I had hopes that the mother-in-law would draw the bugs to her so I would be safe. If I had some honey I'd have dumped it on her and tossed her to them as a sacrifice!

I found it! 02 Jul 2001    It's as easy as ABC  ( Difficulty: 1.5    Terrain: 1.5 )

We found this Cache around 3:15 pm with four members of the ABC News crew here doing a National story On geocaching and the Navicache website. We all had a great time looking for this one! Be sure to watch the abc news with Peter Jennings on Friday July 6th 2001 to see this Cache and the story on National news. I thank Greg and everyone else for all their support on this.

We signed the logbook and Morgan took the Bubbles. We left a rubber duck in it's place and then put the cache back as we found it. Great job!

well...I guess that proves it all! Gimpy and Yardboy are early morning slackers that can't roll out of bed to come find a cache. Bout time I beat those guys to the hunt.

This was a very beautiful park with what seems to be much to do in the area. Even the skeeters seemed to be sleeping when I came with Caron to find this one. I took several pix of the area and cache, We took a picture of ourselves together with your single use camera as well as signed the logbook. I took the hitchhikers kids and will be sure to do my best in reuniting them with the family. Thanks for all the fun you guys!
Everytime I look for one of your caches I think about you guys at the meeting. You guys were both great and I am glad I had the chance to meet you.

Well as most of you know, I went after this one as partner to Roadskunk and skunked I was!
He spotted it first and sat out the rest of the hunt until I made my find. Something about that little grin that just makes the hair on your neck rise up. I had a good time on the hunt and it was placed in a great spot. i signed the logbook and took a picture of self with your camera.
The 1st cachers Get-Together went very nice, I am glad I got to meet most of you!
Thanks for all the fun!

I found it! 30 May 2001    Crescent Hill  ( Difficulty: 1    Terrain: 1.5 )

Yes...I am the son-in-law. I went and found this with Caron today. Weather at the time was very sunny but a tad on the windy side. I had a great time even though Caron spotted cache first.
I left a Mystery Theatre cd that I made a copy of from the Cemetery Cache that GPSFool made. Great cd set! I also left two wheres George dollars to be logged. I took the Chicago m & M chic thingy and will place it in another cache in my hunts. signed logbook and took a picture of self with camera from cache.

PS...Gps I had worked too good! My mother-In-Law found her way back to the car =(

M& M Imposter
Yup...she was here and I took her! You want her? come find her! She will be out and about in another cache very soon!

I found it! 20 May 2001    Graveyard Grumble Part 2 of 2  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

A great hunt and a very great end to my day.
I was sure that I had a good jump on the rest of the pack as far as getting to, and going after this cache. I was partly correct. I got there first and was well on my way, then my brain came to a complete halt and that was that. I ran into Yardboy and will most likely have nightmares for the rest of my life when I think back to outfit he was wearing...j/k we talked a bit and did some minor figuring on the first waypoint, then we went our seperate ways. He found the cache first and I was a second later in the day. I agree that if you decide to take one of the many great gifts from within this cache, please be sure to replace it with another of same value. I took a wheres George dollar and replaced it with another. I then took the cd set of the Radio Mystery Theatre to make a copy for myself and then plan to replace in same cache on 5/27/01. I also added 10 more dollars to the cache as well as tons of keychains and trinkets for the youngsters if they come along with you. I took my pix with the camera and signed the logbook. No matter how many more of you find this cache I will always know that Yardboy and me did it the hard way...hehehe!
Great fun! I rate it a 11 out of a scale of 10.
If you go after this cache and wish to print out the complete part 1 and part2 as they are shown together, go to www.navicache.com and look for this cache on the main page of the site, you can print it all out there!

Got all the info I need to continue on with part 2. Thanks for the fun so far!

I found it! 01 May 2001    Morningside Conundrum  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

It took a Rochester Dude to find this cache first.

I found this cache around 2:30pm while in syracuse on Business. I didn't look at the topo or the pix until I got home to log the find.
The only thing needed was my Vista, a nun, a bowl of chili and a paperclip to locate it.
I had a great time and the cache was well placed.
I also loved the cotents of the cache, very neat stuff!
I took a picture of myself with your single use camera and signed the logbook as well.
I took the nose hair clipper thingys in case I was not able to get back out of the wooded area, at least they would have found my body with well groomed nose hairs. I left a medium size Carabener (is that how you spell that?)
Before I left I replaced the cache as I found it and took several digital pictures that I will send Anton. My GPS said I was within 7 feet when I found the cache, then after sitting a while it went down to 3 feet. Very good coordinates!
I would tell anyone that has not made plans to find this one yet to do so!
Thanks for all the fun Anton, I'll get the rest of your this weekend!

I found it! 17 Apr 2001    Gimpys Walk  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

Hi Gimpy!

Another great job of placing the cache, a bit tricky at first due to where I was standing I lost sat contact, but was back in the game after a few short steps (none of which was in that horse stuff)

I would like to claim that I was the first to find this cache but the log had someone by the name of scott written in it. So Scott if you are reading this, step up to the plate ,sign in and log your find bud!

I left a new yo-yo and took nothing, though you had some great things included with your cache, i wanted to build on that. I signed the logbook and blessed you with a picture of myself taken with your camera.
At first I was laughing because I could see where someone was slipping in the mud., I had assumed it was you but now think it might have been scott!
Once again thanks for the fun! I had a great time.

I found it! 14 Apr 2001    West Meets East  ( Difficulty: 2.5    Terrain: 3 )

Gotcha!...This was by far one of the better cache hunts and locations i have seen throughout the websites. What a beautiful spot to visit as well as hunt for a cache. I lost sat contact a few times due to tree cover but soon came around to guide me in. I was using the Vista and once on top of cache the reading was within 2 feet.
They just don't come any better than this one.
I signed the logbook and took the compass (of course) you will have to find the cache to see what I left in it's place. You did a very nice job of making and placing this one, it will be tough to out-do.Not sure what Entrance you came in to place it but I had to pay 5.00 to enter the park, but was by far well worth it to me.
I took over 60 digital pix I will offer to you so you can post them here if you wish. My find was around 4:30pm (Brother came along for the fun)

I found it! 08 Apr 2001    Mendon Ponds Cache  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

I knew I forgot to log one!

Woke up this morning and went right to the computer and noticed this cache was listed. You can still see the footprints on my wifes back when I ran her over trying to get out the door with my GPS.
This is a Great! place to hide a cache, and was well done at that.
I picked a nice day with weather being sunny and warm at 70*
Your coordinates were dead on with my gps telling me I was within 10 feet when I got to it.
Great way to set up the box and nice items inside.
I took the battery operated fan and left a lantern flashlight keychain. I signed the logbook and took a picture of myself with your camera.
also took tons of pictures with my digital that I will send you via e-mail. Beautiful location!
PS...the full bodyshape in the mud on the trail was me
