I found it! 11 Sept 2004    Masseth's journey  ( Difficulty: 2    Terrain: 3 )

First nice morning we have had in severl days. Figured I would give this one a go before the rain started hitting us again from another southern hurricane.
Great area and I didnt see a single skeeter. Thanks for all the fun.

I found it! 15 Jul 2003    Peak Experience #54  ( Difficulty: 2    Terrain: 2.5 )

Very nice cache area thats for sure. it was nice for someone to offer their own land for an adventure like this.

The double bonus was that I bumpd into the famous "Mighty Quinn" (owner of Navicache.com) on the way.
We talked a bit about Geocaching and all the news articles that have been written about the sport and him.

the cache hunt was fun and not a skeeter in sight, though Quinn was correct about those horsey's.

I signed the log book and took the travel bug that I will move along soon.
Thanks for such a wonderful day!

I found it! 12 Jul 2003    Rivers Edge  ( Difficulty: 1    Terrain: 2 )

Darnit!...I thought for sure I was going to get a jump on this cache as I saw it pretty much when it was posted. Come to find out I was beaten.

I am here for a few days for work and then back home up north. I hope to hit a few of the area caches around these parts before i have to go back.

Weather here is actually cooler than the NY area I am from. great cache and lots of fun. thank you for taking the time to place this.

I found it! 12 Jul 2003    Quick Lassie the cache fell down the canal  ( Difficulty: 1    Terrain: 1 )

One of the first of the morning. I also came in at the wrong place and had to sit and scratch my head a bit.

Thanks for showing me this area.

I found it! 12 Jul 2003    Boonieman's Castle  ( Difficulty: 2    Terrain: 3 )

Very long drive from my starting point, but worth it!

I had to re-read the cache page to make certain i was in the right spot, but after thinking about it I realized I made a mild error and all was well in the end.

Great job on this cache. I got bit a few times but the skeeters here are much smaller than the ones we have up north.

Looking forward to hitting more before I head home.

I found it! 10 Jul 2003    Mendon Ponds Cache  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

I found it! 10 Jul 2003    Mendon Ponds #2  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

A bit gloomy but welcome break from all the heat.

I saw a few dear not far from the cache but I don't think they spotted me.

A wood pecker was going crazy on a tree while I was looking for the cache.

I found it! 10 Jul 2003    Cacher's Cache Can  ( Difficulty: 1.5    Terrain: 1.5 )

I started out very early in the morning for this one. I should have gone after this one after my last Cache hunt as a bit of a drive was in order.

I agree that there are tons of places here for a great hiding spot.

I loved this hunt! I was showing signs of being tired for sure on the way back home.

Thanks for the adventure and all the fun that comes with it.

I found it! 10 Jul 2003    Graveyard Grumble Part 1 of 2  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

I started this one last week and it got a bit late on me to finish it. I have been eyeing this cache hunt for quite some time but after seing all the points I thought I would give it some room.

One of the funner ones that is for sure.

Came back to finish the last two waypoints and to walk away a happy camper.

I found it! 10 Jul 2003    Graveyard Grumble Part 2 of 2  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

Note 09 Jul 2003    Cabin Fever?  ( Difficulty: 1.5    Terrain: 1 )

Great area I never knew was close by.

Been meaning to get over here and lucky for me I had the gps and waypoint needed while heading home from work.

I will need to look at the sign again as I was not looking at the write up other than the coordinate I had programmed.

I will be back for sure to finish up. =)

I found it! 09 Jul 2003    Gone Fishin...Back Soon!  ( Difficulty: 2    Terrain: 2 )

I see MaMa Bear has been a busy little camper placing all these caches. Good!

I wasn't sure about the rest because I pretty much keep to this site.
great adventure though and lots of fun. A bit tricky in areas but all was worth it.

Where are your other caches on Navicache?
Thanks for all the fun!

I found it! 06 Jul 2003    Snipe Hatch  ( Difficulty: 1    Terrain: 3 )

Didnt see the notice about the bear until I got back in. i see it was a while ago so I think all would have been okay anyways.

here on business and saw this one listed on navicache.com
(my favorite and less commecial Geocaching site)

It was nice to hit the water for a bit before getting to the cache. What a heck of a hike in!!

great fun though and I am glad I took the time to give this one a go.
Thanks for the fun!

Great day for caching!

a bit windy and tons of Geese but none the less it could not have been better.

I was driving home from a work meeting and could not resist hitting some of these caches in the area.
I wish I had more time to grab them all, but there is always another time.
Thanks for the great adventure and I look forward to more!

I found it! 25 Jun 2003    La Plata Canyon Cache  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 1 )

I found this cache while on a business trip. It was good to break the day with a cache to make me forget about work.

Great job on the cache location.
Thank you for the nice afternoon.

Note 14 Jun 2003    Letchworth Fall Gathering II  ( Difficulty: 1    Terrain: 1 )

Never been there before and looking forward to meeting new cachers as well as finding some in quite a famous park.

I'll bring a tray of sorts.

I found it! 14 Jun 2003    Logos on Logs  ( Difficulty: 2    Terrain: 2.5 )

All I can say is trust those darn trails!

What a great cache to do today. I thought the day would be a wash with all the rain, but the sky cleared and off I went. I have been watching this cache for a while on the site and I knew it would be a fun one.

Great job in the making of this cache.

Looks like I just missed chanceman by a few. That Navicache T-shirt would have looked good on me =)

Anyone spot a very long skid mark in the mud heading out...that was me!

Great Cache!!!

I found it! 13 Jun 2003    Erwin Hollow Hidden Cache  ( Difficulty: 2.5    Terrain: 3.5 )

Can I pick some strange days to go caching or what?

Now thats a hill!
Cache was in good condition and filled with interesting things. Signed the log and took some of my own pictures of the area while out this way returning from out of town on business.

Thanks for the quick fun to keep me busy!

I found it! 13 Jun 2003    Erwin Hollow Overlook  ( Difficulty: 1    Terrain: 3 )

I was in this area about 2 years ago and there wasn't a cache around for well over 60 miles. Now they are popping up all over the place!

Nice area and very quiet when I came. Plenty of places to hike around here (If you like hills)

Thanks for the great adventures and for taking the time to place this cache.

I couldn 13 Jun 2003    Deep Pine Forest Cache  ( Difficulty: 1.5    Terrain: 2.5 )

Now this one really has me stumped???
I looked for about 45 minutes and still no luck. I am certain I was in the right area but nothing to be found. Has anyone else had any luck with this one lately?

My sats were dancing a bit but I gave the area a good looking over.
I'll have to retry on my next trip out this way.

I found it! 13 Jun 2003    The Hatfield's and McCoy's  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

hitting the caches in this park is really taking a beating on me...pant-pant!

many trails that cover a very large area around here.
If you come out this way make sure you bring a camera and a mountain bike would not hurt either!

Signed the log book and traded george bills. Thanks for the fun and the great spot!

I found it! 31 May 2003    Beechwood Trails  ( Difficulty: 2    Terrain: 2 )

Very wet, very tired, very glad I gave this a go!

One of the better caches I have done thus far.
A bit gloomy today but made for a great day to pull in a cache or two while on my way home from visiting a friend out east.

I hope to see everyone at the Geocachers picnic next week in Durand park.

Thank you so much for the great hide. Left a flag pin and took a memory of a great scenic view.

I found it! 25 May 2003    A Hawks View  ( Difficulty: 2    Terrain: 2 )

Bit muddy on the trail due to all the rain, but all in all fun was had.

Great area with some nice things to see.
I did another cache by the fresh crew and gang while in these parts.

Thanks for the fun!

I found it! 18 May 2003    Escape  ( Difficulty: 2.5    Terrain: 2 )

Ever since I was a kid I have been coming to this area to fish and walk. The waterways make for great bass fishing as well as duck hunting during the seasons.

Now I bring my own kids down the same path on the bikes to get away or to take the rods.
What a great day to do some caching!

I have never been through this part of the point and it's very interesting how it slopes behind the way it does.
A job well done in the placement and a "Thanks" well deserved for the fun you gave us on one of the first good days of the year.

I found it! 03 May 2003    Lupin's Treasure  ( Difficulty: 2    Terrain: 1.5 )

I am hooked!!!!

This was my first find ever. I have been sitting here reading this website for weeks waiting for my new gps to get delivered. I first found out about Geocaching on the radio with Brother Weaze here in Rochester when a listener mentioned the Navicache website. Once I visited it and did some reading I knew I had to give it a try.

I am just glad my gps had a calculator built into it as well!

Great fun and well worth the trip. I am looking forward to more in the future.
